The retreat of the Southern Senators Forum has come and gone but without leaving fresh drama about the status of Eze Ilomuanya
Eze Ilomuanya was the Chairman of Imo State Traditional Rulers Council before Governor Rochas Okorocha came into power and replaced him with the incumbent, Eze Samuel Ohiri, leading to several court cases that have lasted for years.
The State government even went ahead to depose Ilomuanya as the monarch of Obinugwu and installed a new person.
However, in a renewed battle of Supremacy, Ilomuanya who has emerged victories in several of the court wars against Okorocha was named the Royal Father of the Senators Forum event in Calabar, Cross River State.
Uzodinma functioned in the event held last week as the royal father. The event, a historic retreat centered on National Unity and Restructuring, saw other top flight monarchs in attendance.
At the home front, the recognition given to Ilomuanya is generating concern with agents of government given an indication that it was a decay to mock the governor and the chairman of the Imo State Council of Tradition Rulers, Eze Ohiri.
