All is not well in the camp of reigning Nigerian Federation’s cup holder, Heartland FC of Owerri as the players, management and coaching crew are experiencing turbulent moments and cash crunch despite quest to win the coveted trophy back – to – back.
Reports reaching our news desk from theIlorincamp of the team where they outclassed Prime FC ofOshogboto book a final ticket for his weekend’s FA Cup final indicate that the players won the epic encounter with empty stomach.
Despite several pledges and assurances from the Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration that it would cater for the players welfare, the Naze Millionaires as the Owerri – based side is fondly called are cash strapped and ravaged by hunger in far away Ilorin even as their movement to Lagos for the final battle with Lobi stars of Makurdi is in jeopardy due to lack of funds and strike threat by the players.

Camp sources revealed that the players have threatened to down tools if their welfare was not given due attention before the final match even as the team alleged that all the goodies and promises made to them by the state Governor after their 2011 FA Cup win have not be redeemed till date.
