The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Convention and Congress Committee, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu has stated in clear terms that, the Imo State APC Ward congress held last Saturday May 5th, 2018 still stand as there was no cancelation whatsoever.
Reacting to information making rounds, the Senator representing Okigwe Zone at the National Assembly stated that, it’s true that the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha and his delegation met with APC National Chairman and appealed for the cancellation of the congress, but the Chairman in his wisdom encouraged them to follow party laid down rules by submitting their grievances to the Congress Appeal Committee set up by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress to resolve any impasse arising from the just concluded ward Congress.
The former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly averred that, if Governor Okorocha felt aggrieved, he should submit his petition to appeal panels who would forward their findings to NWC of the party for necessary decision, failure to do so, the congress stands.
Recall that the Rep member representing Okigwe South at the National Assembly Hon Chike Okafor had earlier informed of the cancellation of the ward congress, by the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Oyegun.
