Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Obi of Orodo, Eze Samuel Ohiri says the arrest of a kidnaper at Ubahaeze Orodo, has not in any put him in trouble.
The Monarch was reacting to media reports that he may face the wrath of Governor Rochas Okorocha, who recently declared that any traditional ruler a kidnapper(s) is arrested in his domain will be deposed.
Ohiri’s spokesman, Evarest Ezihe in a statement made available to Imo Trumpeta, said such reports were designed to tarnish the image and reputation of Eze Ohiri.
The statement reads in part “The report is not only false, it depicts as if the reporter has a heinous agenda deliberately geared towards tarnishing the good image and reputation of HRH Eze Samuel Ohiri, the Imo state chairman of council of Ndi eze.
We have to reiterate that the filling station in question is at Ubaheze Orodo and all activities concerning the kidnap saga happened at Ubahaeze Orodo.
HRH Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri is of Obi Orodo Autonomous Community while HRH Eze Ugbaja is of Ubahaeze Orodo Autonomous community”.
