The remains of Dr Alex Obi, a former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State, will be buried today in his residence at Oboama, Enyiogugu, in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State.
According to the Chairman, Publicity Committee of the Burial Committee, Chief Henry Ekpe, the former Board of Trustee BoT member of the PDP, commenced his final journey on earth with various activities, which will climax with the Burial today, February 17, 2023.
“There was a vigil mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Aladinma on 14th, followed by Night of Tribute, which held in his Owerri residence, on 15th and was attended by three former Governors of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, Dr Ikedi Ohakim and Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha” Ekpe said.
“Chief Alex Obi was not only an accomplished Medical Doctor, but a Political Collusus who mentored alot young politicians who have today grown to be Governors, members of National Assembly and others” The Chairman Publicity Committee said.
Chief Alex Obi will be laid to rest today February 17th after a funeral mass which starts by 11am.
