A new Acting Director General has been appointed to pilot the affairs of State broadcast industry, IBC international.
Announcing the appointment of Mrs. Esther Obong Egbuna in his office, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Chinedu Offor said her appointment followed the approval of His Excellency Governor Rochas okorocha.
The Commissioner described her as a woman of distinction and an award winner who has carved a niche for herself in the broadcast industry. He expressed confidence in the capacity of the new DG to take IBC international to greater height.
He however thanked the out-going DG, Mr. Alex Nwahiri for his immense contribution and untiring efforts in repositioning the government owned electronic media to its present state.
While assuring her that IBC has a well trained work force who are willing to give their best, Mr. Offor further laid down the mandate to new DG to run the broadcast industry profitably and professionally.
Responding, Mrs. Esther Obong Egbuna thanked the State government for finding her worthy of the appointment and promised efficient service delivery and restoration of professionalism in the media outfit.
