The Ama Asaa Uvuru Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise LGA has flagged off the activities marking the 2025 cultural festival of Uvuru Ikedinairi, Bia Were Oji Uvuru Festival. The colorful ceremony attracted a list of government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, business community, the youth and women, not leaving out the local and Global Organising committees. Welcoming the large number of dignitaries at the event which took place at Uvuru Civic centre, the host traditional ruler Eze Michael Njoku Eze Udo 1 of Ama Asaa Uvuru Autonomous Community expressed delight at the large turn out and peaceful conduct at the ceremony. Eze Njoku thanked God for keeping the comity of Uvuru Communities known as Uvuru

Ikedinairi united through the cherished cultural heritage.

The President General of Uvuru Communities Development Union, UCDU Engr Ben Nnaji in his speech, observed that Ama Asaa Uvuru Autonomous Community has always set a precedence whenever the community comes to play their turn in community development. Nnaji, who is leading the Uvuru Ikedinairi in an unprecedented multi faceted development told the people that so much successes have been made and which signals huge gains and wins for the communities and the individual participants at this year’s fiesta. Hon Dennis Adikwuru, the Global Organising Committee Chairman noted that the synergy amongst the Committee members, those of the Local Organising Committee, the Eze in Council and other Autonomous Communities account for the success so far achieved. He informed the gathering that this year’s festival has rewards of various items ranging from Deep Freezer, Smart Television, Generator, bags of Rice, Garri and lots of consolation prizes in the Raffle Draw of the festival. He announced that the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise LGA, Chief Barr Iheukeumere Alaribe, the Special Guest of Honour was to unveil the Raffle Winning items. Earlier on, the Acting President General of Ama Asaa Uvuru Community, Engr Anthony Onwumere had extended the

heartwarming greetings from the President General, Nze Charles Amuchie and his expectations for a bright outing in the 2025 Bia Were Oji Uvuru Festival. Engr Onwumere who is also the Local Organising Committee Chairman gave the assurance that his committee was doing everything in the right direction for the success of the Uvuru Cultural Festival.

The Special Guest of Honour and Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise LGA, Chief Barr Iheadindueme Alaribe in his remarks, applauded the dedication to duty of both the UCDU President General, Engr Ben Nnaji and the Global Organising Committee Chairman, Hon Dennis Adikwuru and as well the full commitment of the host traditional ruler, Eze Michael Njoku. Alaribe who is an indigene of Ama Asaa Uvuru Community expressed joy that another big history of a great outing is on the making and urged everyone to come up and participate in all the activities of the festival which will be held on December 26, 2025. Leading the Special Guest of Honour to the unveiling spot, the UCDU President General announced to the gathering that a mouth watering special gifts await the first one hundred attendees at the event in addition to the raffle prizes which were already on ground for unveiling. The Aboh Mbaise LGA Chairman was delighted as he unveiled the brand new Deep Freezer, Smart Television, Sumec Fireman Generator and bags of Rice and Garri, all for grabs on the festival day. Chief Alaribe subsequently bought booklets of the Raffle Tickets and distributed to women and youths. The highlight of the flag off event also included prayers and libations by the Eze in Council, titled men, President Generals of federating Uvuru communities which was heralded by the firing of 21 cannon shots.
