Devil was at work in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State recently when a young man named Onyebuchi Ejinkoye raped to death a four year little girl known as Chinasa Dickson.
Parading the suspect before newsmen yesterday, the new Commissioner of Police Imo State command, Muhammad Katsina informed journalists that there is no place for criminals in Imo as his command is poised to get rid of men of the underworld in all parts of the state.
Ejinkonye had in a confessional statement made before newsmen disclosed how his action led to the death of the little kid who allegedly died as a result of the rape action.
According to him, the deceased Chinasa was going to school when he emerged from a bush path to grab the child and went further to tear her clothes and forced his way to have unlawful canal knowledge of her private parts. In the process, the girl reportedly died.
While he was trying to conceal the act by way of looking for a place to bury the girl, policemen on patrol got wind of the dastardly act before he was apprehended and taken to the command for further investigation.
The CP used the opportunity to warn parents and guardian to take proper care of their children and wards to avoid unwarranted developments on them.
