2027 IMO ASSEMBLY: NWANGELE APC YOUTHS BACK AMARA IWUANYANWU

The 2027 political conversation in Nwangele Local Government Area has assumed a new dimension following the declaration of support by the APC youth structure in the area and the Abba Capacity Movement for the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu.

The declaration was contained in a statement issued by Hon. Nnamdi Anochie, APC Youth Leader in Nwangele LGA and Coordinator of the Abba Capacity Movement, who said the decision followed consultations with youth leaders across the 11 wards of the council area.

According to Anochie, the groups have resolved to support Iwuanyanwu as their preferred candidate for the 2027 general election, describing the Deputy Speaker as a tested legislator whose experience in the State legislature has given Nwangele a strong voice.

Iwuanyanwu’s legislative record includes bills and motions, adequate oversight functions, and constituency representation.

Apart from that, he is known and addressed as “Mr Capacity,” given by his numerous empowerment programs to men, women, and youths from Nwangele State Constituency.

Anochie said the endorsement was also informed by what the youth leadership described as Iwuanyanwu’s accessibility and support for young people and women in Nwangele.

He further linked the decision to the political leadership of Prof. Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu, whom he described as the political leader and mentor of the group.

“Where Ikenga stands, we stand,” Anochie stated, stressing that the groups would mobilise their structures across Nwangele in support of Iwuanyanwu ahead of the 2027 election.

The APC youth leader also cited Iwuanyanwu’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and his alignment with the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma as additional reasons for the endorsement.

The statement called on youths, women, and other stakeholders in Nwangele to identify with the movement while assuring that the APC youth structure and Abba Capacity Movement would remain actively mobilised as the 2027 political process unfolds.

The declaration represents one of the early endorsements emerging from Nwangele ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle, with the groups positioning Iwuanyanwu as their preferred political choice for the forthcoming contest.
