SDP OWERRI-WEST STRUCTURE COLLAPSES FOR OWERRI-WEST APP HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE HON UGOCHUKWU DURU.

By Our Correspondent.

The SDP Owerri-west LGA structure has collapsed into the Hon Ugochukwu Duru’s “Ugochinyere Mandate” structure for the Imo State House of Assembly seat for Owerri-west.

Speaking at a forum last Saturday in Owerri, an SDP State Executive and leader of the delegation, Hon Pastor Tony Duru, announced that Imo State SDP has resolved to support the APP Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates because the SDP has no candidates in those areas.

Hon Pastor Tony Duru revealed that the SDP SWC instituted a 3-man Committee in each of the State’s three zone to fish out credible candidates the SDP would support.

According to him, ” as the Chairman of the Owerri zone Committee, I hereby announce that of all parties in Owerri-west presenting candidates for House of Assembly, APP’s Hon Ugochukwu Duru is the most credible and we are settling for him”.

He continued, “he is young with a bright future, a virgin in politics who is not yet corrupt adding that henceforth the “Ugochinyere Mandate” has become the Owerri-west SDP project”.

In his remarks, the SDP Owerri-west LGA Ward 10 Chairman, Hon Tony Duru disclosed that the SDP and APP in Owerri-west would immediately embark on a door to door campaign to deliver Hon Ugochukwu Duru for House of Assembly.

Other SDP speakers at the forum were Hon Mike Chibueze(Ward 8 chairman), Elder Emma Oguoma(LGA Secretary, Ward 7), Hon Oluchi Njoku(Ward 8, Woman leader), Chinedu Duru(Ward 10, organizing Secretary)and Sir Chibuzor Akuebionwu(Ward 10 Chairman).

Responding, an elated Owerri-west APP House of Assembly candidate, Hon Ugochukwu Duru thanked the SDP delegation for finding him worthy promising that he would not disappoint them.

” Vote for me, my Principal, Dr Chima Matthew Amadi(Ogburugburu) and Hon Prince Ike Amadi, for we are all on rescue mission and any vote for APP is a vote for liberation”, Hon Ugochukwu Duru appealed.

Concerning Owerri-west House of Assembly, Hon Ugochukwu Duru (Ochinanwata) lamented that the LGA had already wasted eight good years and about wasting another four years and enjoined people of Owerri-west to resist this third term bid by judiciously using their voters cards.

It would be recalled that a couple of days ago the Owerri-west Accord Party had in forum in Owerri adopted Hon Ugochukwu Duru as their sole candidate for the Owerri-west House of Assembly seat.
