EKWUATO WARD APC DECLARES TOTAL SOLIDARITY WITH GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA, REJECTS ABUJA COURT RULING

WE STAND WITH OUR GOVERNOR; WE WILL SINK AND FLOAT WITH HIM!

The leadership and entire membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ekwuato Ward, Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Imo State, hereby express our unwavering solidarity, loyalty and unflinching support for our indefatigable Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, following the controversial judgment delivered by Justice Egwuatu of the Abuja High Court concerning the outcome of the Orlu Zonal Senatorial Primary Election.

We consider the decision, which reportedly set aside the mandate freely given to our Governor by the delegates and recognised Senator Rochas Okorocha instead, a grave injustice and an affront to the democratic wishes and electoral choices of the people who participated in the primary election.

WE REJECT THIS JUDGMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND STAND FIRMLY WITH GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA IN HIS QUEST TO RECLAIM HIS MANDATE THROUGH ALL AVAILABLE LEGAL MEANS.

Democracy must be about the will of the people, respect for due process and the sanctity of votes freely cast. No mandate should be taken away from those who legitimately earned it without a convincing and lawful basis.

We strongly believe that the mandate freely given to our Governor by the delegates at the Orlu Zonal Senatorial Primary deserves to be respected and protected. We therefore encourage our Governor and the party leadership to pursue every legitimate legal avenue to ensure that justice is ultimately served.

Your Excellency, the APC family in Ekwuato Ward wants you to know that we stand solidly behind you. We are not fair-weather supporters who disappear when challenges arise. Our loyalty is rooted in conviction, shared political struggles and our belief in your leadership.

We acknowledge your leadership, political courage and commitment to the development of Imo State. We will not abandon you at a moment when your political mandate is being contested.

As the grassroots leadership of our great party, we reaffirm our readiness to mobilise, stand together and support every lawful step towards the restoration of what we believe is your rightful mandate.
