Statesman Workers Lament Non Payment of 4 Months Salaries
Recent developments in the Imo Newspaper’s limited, publishers of “Statesman Newspapers indicate that the Imo State Government has given out the publishing outfit to a private investor.
A key player in the state government who is incharge of one of the state moved financial agencies (name withheld) is reported to be have brought the statesman newspaper for an undisclosed number of years.
In the spirit of commercialization which is the driving force in the Owelle Rochas Okorocha government, the new investor has moved in and impeccable sources disclosed that they have commenced discussion with the leadership of the newspaper for a smooth take over of the Imo Newspaper Ltd.
Efforts to reach the Commissioner for Information and acting General Manager of Imo Newspaper proved abortive as their phone lines were not accessible for comments.
