ImoStategovernment is to stop trucks, lorries and commercial vehicles from plying Concorde road, New Owerri.
The Chief Executive Officer of Trimex Global Concept Limited, Engr Don Godswill Anyanwu, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen at the Concorde road where solar studs were was being installed on the middle of the road.
Engr Anyanwu who is a South Korean based contractor remarked that the solar stud became necessary to ensure safety on the road, adding that some drivers are not well trained and do not control their speed limit and maintained that the speed limit for Concorde road is 40km per hour.
The contractor who described Concorde road as special one noted that the solar stud existing inSouth Koreais for the first time seen on the road in the South East, pointing out that “we had already installed side reflectors for vehicles on night travels”
He noted that the safety materials being installed on essential roads would help to reduce the high rate of accidents and called on motorists to help in safe guarding them.
Engr Anyanwu expressed his resolve to render high quality jobs, assuring that he has been in business for the past six years.
He commended the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for his massive road construction project in the state, describing him as the Governor who welcomes good things and appealed to the people of the state to support his government.
