The National Chairman, All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu has expressed shock over the death of his aide, Chief Livinus Nwambe.
Nwambe, before his untimely death was the first Chairman, Ebonyi State Chapter of the ANPP and lately Special Adviser (Special Duties) to the ANPP National Chairman.
Onu described late Nwambe as a close political associate which spanned over two decades, a worthy treasure of trust, enterprise, brilliance and resolve.
In a statement made available to Trumpeta, Dr. Onu said the late Nwambe was a tireless political warrior who believed so fervently on the untainted use of politics as an instrument for selfless service.
The statement reads “He shared with me in good measure, a strong commitment to the virtues of fidelity to political causes and selflessness in the pursuit of the people’s happiness. Indeed, it was in recognition of these sterling qualities that I appointed him my Special Adviser (Special Duties) on my assumption of office as National Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party. A position he held creditably and later rose to become a Member of the Board of Trustees of our great party.
The statement continued “The pain of his sudden death has shaken my physical being for it is to me a loss too much to bear. However, I find strength and consolation in the knowledge that the good deeds of noble men like him seldom die. They remain evergreen in the bossom of time”.
I mourn his death like that of a brother, which he was to me. I grieve for his loss because he was a man too good to have gone so soon. It is my prayer that the Almighty God will grant his soul, eternal rest. May He also give the members of his family, the fortitude to bear the pain of this rather painful loss” the statement ended.
