As the Choice of an acceptable bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise continue to attract world attention, a first class monarch of Mbaise extraction Eze Mike Abii of Eziudo Ezinihitte has revealed while the community leaders of Mbaise are supporting the Catholic faithfuls of Mbaise and the leaders in the fight for equity and justice.
Speaking with Trumpeta reporter at the bishop house Ahiara diocese, recently after meeting with Cardinal Onaiyekan, the Eziudo community leader state that as community leaders they have trust and confidence in their religious leaders and strongly believe that they are on the right track in their demands which are logical and direct.
Eze Abii maintained that considering the logical, and constructive submissions of their religious (Catholic) Clergy(ies) and leaders, it was proved beyond reasonable doubt that the choice of Bishop Peter Ebere Okpalaeke did not follow due process, equity, justice and the lay down rules, criteria and procedure for appointing Catholic bishops not forgetting the latest pronouncement of the Holy father Pope Francis …”Choosing a Pastor close to the people. ”Therefore it is nothing but imposition that is unacceptable.
However, the community leaders in Mbaise nation believes that they can not be more catholic than the catholic clergy(ies) and leaders, therefore resolved to support their course as “it will amount to treachery and betrayal not to support them” Eze Abii said.
