The Managements and Staff of the Federal Polytechnics Nekede, have for the past one month been in psychological and physical tension following the arrival of a panel to carry out an all round assessment of the citadel as regard, academic, finance staff and students’ quantity and quality.
Ever since the arrival of the said panel campus gist gathered that the staff have been punctual for duties and lectures, so also the students.
It was also gathered that there have been lapses in the Management and running of the school as has been exposed by the panel.
Campus gist gathered that one of the issues that attracted it most was that the Director of Purchasing and Supplies is not a member of the purchasing and supplies committee of the school Management – Unbelievable! When the director was asked about the papers he has been signing he simply replied “I do not sign any document without the Rector’s directives”
Some of the Staffs told Campus gist that things has not been at ease, as things have fallen apart in the school since the arrow of God struck and Okonkwo left.
