Imo State is now recording low performance in the Education sector due to the inability of those in authority to discharge their work effectively.
Moreover, students register for Exams, and in the end, they will not get their results processed and released.
We gathered from a reliable source that Junior WAEC which is now known as Basic Certificate of Education (BECEE) for those in JS111 for 2020/2021 and 2022 results are still awaiting.
For the three years, as we were told students pay for the registration but were disappointed with the non-release of results up till this moment.
The same thing happens at the Primary School level where school children will register for their First School Leaving Certificate and will not get the results and certificate at the end.
The report has it that Government released millions of naira for these Exams but those handling the funds were said to have mismanaged it.
The delay in processing these results has made parents and students raise eyebrows. The aggrieved parents and their children have started protesting against the Ministry of Education for not doing a good job.
Many are now demanding for immediate set up of a Panel of Enquiry to look into the system and find out why the results are still withheld up till now.
Further information revealed that over 200 secondary schools in Imo State are yet to get their senior WAEC results for two years now and this ugly situation has made students go outside Imo State to register for their Exams.
