Some of the happenings in our campuses these day have really become a source of worry to campus gist. As it is said, a child is an ambassador of his/her family, the attitude of some students have put a big question mark on their upbringing and family values.
Recently, a particular boy (name withheld) a first year management student painted his family’s name in a very bad light as he disgraced himself, family and friends at one of the hostels located opposite IMSU extension gate by the old secretariat Okigwe road.
The year one student of the Imo State University, threatened to cut off his manhood should his girl friend another year one student dump him as she threatened. The randy lover and his girl in question have been friends and co-habiting at the hostel since they were admitted into IMSU some months back.
Reports reaching campus gist has it that the boy who was fond of beating this girl of his at least twice a week, was devastated when the girl threatened to quite the relationship owing to the incessant humiliation and domestic violence she was subjected to in the hands of the chicken hearten and bed room napoleon Casanova.
It was further revealed that, when the girl carried out her threat and started avoiding the guy, the boy was said to have ran amok, having been deprived of sex and affection, begging with a knife threatening to cut off his manhood if the girl did not assure him that she will not dump him. This attracted the entire occupants of the said hostel, who were very disappointed with the boy’s action.
However, campus gist wish to know what has come over the Nigerian under graduates, it will be recalled that some time this year a female undergraduates of the university of Ibadan (U1) drank “HYPO” bleach because she was dumped by her boyfriend, and in the process she lost a kidney- shame!
Campus gist advices parents to always pay their children and wards unscheduled visit regularly.
