bitter pills

As the entire world is confronted with serous environmental issue of climate change, the women folk are neck deep into the clamour for gender equality, whereas the western super-powers are arrogantly championing the course of civil union rubbish (same sex marriage); everything is going hay wire, with unusual events occurring at random. What is going on? Do we doubt the reality of the end time insignia? No, not at all, because even war and civil uprising are on the increase and ethnic poverty, natural disaster are common experience in most parts of the world; leaders are heartlessly subverting the interests of their subjects thereby triggering off revolution. The Middle East is ever in turmoil, Egypt, Syria, lybia, Tunisia, Iran (would never give up nuclear power project) North Korea (sustained the die hard stance on chemical weapon development) etc and the rumours of the looming world war is raging waiting for a trumpet sound. Back home, the political tension is heightening across the length and breadth of Nigeria with accords being formed and broken at random, ambushes and counter-ambushes, defections and affections, conspiracy and counter-conspiracy occurring simultaneously across parties and within parties, crisis every where with discontentment and disenchantment of a bewildered, helpless poor masses. But, in all these unwholesome circumstances, people’s political consciousness is high and agitations pouring out daily either for or against government policies. Public strife is getting ever rife. In the curious quest for peace, unity, equity and fairness, Nigeria recently delved into the review of the 1999 constitution (which undoubtedly is as many agreed a military product). While a great number of well meaning senior and common citizens prefer a sovereign National Conference to the National Assembly’s proposal of constitutional review or amendment, the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) is pre-occupied with preparations for a lavish and elaborate celebration of centenary Anniversary by 2014.
Taken by the trend of socio-political incidences, the Imo State government led by His Excellency Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha (OON) and his Rescue Mission team radically conspired with the state legislative arm to rape the people’s collective will in several ways; the act of hurried statewide developmental and capital projects of enormous quantum that triggered off rudderless demolition spree which rendered many homeless, heart broken, hospitalized and even dead in remotes towns across the state (for people in Amaraku and Anara are now lamenting over there predicaments). In fact, the streets of Imo State are littered with the causalities left behind by the traction of the Rescue Mission train. The Imo indigenes are bored with the unending experimentation with acts of governance whereby strange policies are rolled out inordinately since the inception of the Rescue Mission government still in the saddle. At the moment, the media which remained steadfast as the fourth estate of Realm and the last hope of the common is ruckus with the moral cum spiritual implication of the IMHA’s act that dished out Imo State Law No. 12 of 2012 Which Governor Okorocha signed into law on May 19, 2012 to promote abortion.
The news which brought a great shock to all and sundry within Imo State and beyond is that a bill introduced into IMHA’s dis-hallowed chambered by a female members Mrs. Adaku Ihuoma (representing Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency) will serve the devilish purpose of legalizing abortion. It is quite unacceptable to Imo people who are now very ashamed of the crop of legislatures and government executive that allowed this historical miscarriage to take place in our dear heartland state long reputed for oddities. It will be recalled that recently, the most distinguished Senator and Senate President David Bonaventure Mark received a pat on the back for vehemently resisting western incursions to favour the obnoxious gay marriage system in the so called civil union backed up by the British Prime Minister David Cameroon, USA President Barrack Obama and President Hollande of France. Unfortunately and regrettably a woman who bends down to urinate in whatever guise (i.e. whether financed by international donor agencies or prompted by devil) summoned the effrontery to serve as the conduit through which this evil bill sneaked into the dishallowed chamber of IMHA. Irrespective of claims that the wicked bill was not properly debated, it is a taboo and despicable wanton folly that such atrocious proposal survived several readings in that big for nothing legislative house without recourse to public knowledge nay opinion. In view of another implication that the abortion law is not only against Christian and Islamic faiths, but, a direct plot by the international donors to depopulate Africa and to secretly transport the fertilized eggs of women (especially young ladies) to the western world.
The worst painful regrets stems from the knowledge that a woman member of IMHA representing Ahiazu Mbaise, who equally hold the post of the majority leader of the house, a supposed respected mother lured the house into this atrocity. It is most worrisome that a law that was jettisoned and out rightly rejected by the NASS was welcome by IMHA. This confirms the speculation that the commercialization of the Health sector which provoked the white elephant project of 27 new general hospitals (and the neglect and abandonment of existing ones) occasioned by the controversial concession of hospitals to Lantech with ulterior motives.
The secret agenda not being far from the illicit engagement in the lucrative trade of women egg trafficking to encourage or legalize IVF (Intro-vascular fertilization). A take off, of the obnoxious abortion law in Imo State means that our women’s eggs will be easily collected in these privatized hospitals and exported for foreign exchange earnings to wicked selfish men in this dirty deal. Pertinently, the leader of the Catholic Medical Association, Prince Dr. Philip Njemanze raised alarm early enough with elucidation on the socio-health implication of legalizing abortion which not only legalizes IVF (intro-fertilization) but encourages reproductive eggs trafficking in the state. Some people believe that the rumour making the rounds that the demolition of Dr. Njemanze’s Clinic on Wetheral Road is not far from vindictiveness linked with the revelation made by this great apostle of Catholic faith. There is no gain to glorify the ignorance churned out by Owelle’s apologists, even his personal apologies before a mammoth crowd and His grace the Catholic Archbishop, AJV Obinna. Truth remains the best foundation of sustainable development the and unity in any society; and any ambition that does not serve the collective good of any society is antithetical to the tenets of true democracy. Only God knows what the state house of assembly member representing Ahiazu Mbaise ‘Mrs’ Adaku Ihuoma intends to achieve (i.e her latent ambition) out of whatever mendacious indoctrination by the international donors. It is quite ludicrous to imagine the immoral colouration given to the Imo State political landscape after the acerbic release of this cynical law under the regime of the supposed people’s governor. The Rescue Mission government’s champion, Owelle Rochas Okorocha did contradict his refrain “agenda my people! My people which unduly ascribed him as the People oriented governor. He has goofed indeed.
Under the weight of this contradiction, it is obvious that whatever pedigree garnered over the barely more than two (2) years of this alien government, must have nose dived into much exposure to odium and public ridicule capable of earning Owelle far more disgrace than that of his predecessor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim. In fact, all the mistakes made by his predecessor, Ikedi Ohakim, have been equally doubted by Owelle and double calamity lurches around for him too. Before the 2011 gubernatorial election in Imo State, the incumbent Ohakim ran a ring of regrettable balls up when the public blamed him for physically abusing a Catholic cleric. It began like a fable but was taken for granted until it snowballed into a classical socio-religious problem of intractable dimension extorting unreserved apologies from the Chief Culprit himself, His Excellency Governor (fmr) Ikedi Ohakim. The climax of the tension and its reverberating consequences dove tailed into a drastic display of discontentment in the form of a Catholic black mass against Ohakim’s regime. At the moment, the Abortion law scandal levied against Owelle having already illicited unreserved apologies as well is on the verge of provoking another clamour for a Catholic black mass as the peak level of show of disapproval to a depraved legislation. From the foregoing, it is likely that the Catholic Community particularly and the entire Christendom are reluctant to over look the sin of violating the highly revered sacrosanct doctrine that smacks so much of shameful immorality as such like the impending Abortion Law unleashed on the quite innocent and unsuspecting Imo electorates that took the risk of electing the Owelle government of Rescue Mission out of desperate need for a change.
Probably, if nothing decisive is done to forestal the pseudo-group of anti-Christ which the progenitors of the project Abortion law typify, the operators of the Rescue Mission machinery may venture to legalize same sex marriage as the next step towards their pharisaic hypocrisy. Successively, their mind depravity could drag them further unto the quest for legalizing bestialism (i.e marriage of man and beasts) under the ambits of fundamental human rights. It all began with the inordinate demand for gender equality, degenerated through legalization of abortion to the unsavory civil union (same sex or gay marriage). It is a shame that what the rest of the sane world reject as a crass diminishion of spirituality and sound morality, Imo State House of Assembly and the maverick rochannomics theorists, Rochas Owelle Anayo Okorocha (OON) welcomed, incubated and hatched out as a way of life.
History will forever hold them accountable for the destruction and injury inflicted by their stiff naked foolish acts that counteracts nature to distort the sacred weaving of creation. Also, posterity will definitely judge the culprits of this indelible perfidy and disregard for divine order of things as they surely are wedded for worst case of perdition.
