  • WHO IS AFTER EX LAWMAKER, RAY EMEANA’s LIFE?

    oga-kcc2
I don’t know days former legislator in Imo State, Hon Nze Ray Emeana always kept in memory before now. But, definitely, from now onwards, Sunday the 18th day of June 2017, will be evergreen in his records file and mind.
Sunday June 18th, would have been Nunc dimitis for the former member of the Imo State House of Assembly who represented Owerri North 2007-2011, if the gun men who came after his life had succeeded in carrying out their ghoulish intentions.
A great socialite, humanist, writer, actor and politician, Emeana escaped what appeared more like an assassination attempt on the fateful Sunday night when gun- toting hoodlums traced him from the road to his house before encountering an unsuccessful operation.
When the news break of the unfortunate incident was made public, I was one of the early callers to his Akwakuma- Uratta country home where he narrated the chilly details of the Hollywood-like movie.
Without divorcing his traditional jocular trademarks whenever we meet, Nze Ray Emeana, fondly called Ndaa Ray by admirers, was quick to tell me when I met him after surviving the attack that “kelechi, this one is not about writing it in that your Agwodinuju and Babanababa columns,i wonder what you would have written if you came here and did not meet me again” I almost went into hysteria when the former lawmaker I regard as one of my Ogas confronted me with the expression. “Soro mu kele chineke (Help me Thank God)”
I didn’t really know about Emeana not until he was elected to be the member that represented Owerri North State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly. In the past, I only knew him then as a university teacher at the Imo State University, an actor, dancer and play writer. At the Imo State House of Assembly. He was made the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Due Process whereas I functioned as the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House. Interestingly, my boss and Speaker, Rt. Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah, now a House of Reps Member, is Emeana’s man Friday. They have been a kind of Siamese twins since their days in the State legislature. As House Committee Chairman on Information, Emeana was my second principal. Ironically, he became my direct boss; close confidant, mentor and director more than the Speaker who appointed me his media aide. We share several things in common it would be out of place to make public.
Six years after we vacated the Assembly complex, the rosy relationship has grown beyond bounds making me to be one of the first callers to his house after the incident. And when “my Oga” asked me what would I have written if he had died in the process, I almost went down in tears and started asking “Who is after the life of Ndaa Ray?
Speaking to a collection of newsmen who also came to gain firsthand account from him, Emeana disclosed that it was a normal Sunday for him when he went out to have a clean shave in town. On discovery that he was not well dressed to go to church, he moved to Assumpta Chapel to have a private communion with God and left the place to his house later.
In the evening hours, Emeana left his house with the driver to some private social outings before retracing steps back home at about 8.30pm. On the way home at Akwakuma, he stopped over to buy fuel for the power generating set at home. An ominous sign that danger however was lurking around commenced when he approached the last Akwakuma/ Orlu road roundabout before Egbeada town in Mbaitoli. At the junction, his driver took right, a car was already waiting to follow them. According to him, they never suspected foul play not until the car still trailed them to left corner at the next junction leading to his house. Alongside the driver, Emeana disclosed that he sensed danger prompting the driver to move the car pedal forward. Due to the bumpy nature of the road leading to his house, Emeana’s 4wd utility jeep gained space advantage to move ahead.
Said Emeana “surprisingly when we tought our vehicle which is an up car had gained advantage to move on unmarked, their car managed to wriggle out and quickly came after us. This time, my driver had alerted security guard in my house to open the gate. At the gate, their speedy car made attempts to overtake and block my car from the right to stop us from entering, but my driver was smarter to find his way inside the compound. I rushed out and raised alarm that the gate should be locked and the assiliants were not part of us.
“When we drove in, my wife and my two children including the gate man were outside and it was dark. I quickly alighted from the car and carefully raced into safety in the compound. By then they had drove in, started shooting and went after me. They searched frantically but to no avail”.
Explaining further, Emeana said that gunshots rained all directions before the suspected assassins quickly made an escape without carting away any item from his house including taking his wife or any of the children hostages. Police came in later to take records of what transpired. A face cap suspected to be that of one of fleeing criminals was recovered and in police custody for further investigation.
Giving a further hint on the whole scenario, Emeana opined that he suspects assassination attempt considering that none of the items, cars and money were collected or removed. Besides, suspicion of kidnap has cannot be brought in because the wife and children were not abducted.
When asked why he could suddenly become an object of target by suspected assasins, Emeana was of the view that late encounters he has been having with some persons in the political arena cannot be divorced from the failed plot. According to the former lawmaker, he attended a radio programe during the celebration of this year’s Democracy Day where vital issues the present administration in the state, have failed to address were highlighted. “During the programe I called Archibishop Obinna, Bishop Okorocha of the Anglican and other well meaning clerics to wake up against the ills noticed at the state level of the government. I received reactions from the populace over my statements during the program”
Emeana added that the altercation in the state arm of PDP cannot be over looked in this matter since he had verbal exchanges . The lawmaker is the factional state secretary of Imo PDP. His faction owe allegiance to the Markafi group with Chief Charles Ezekwem as State Chairman. There are other groups laying claim to the party position. “I know those who are after my life. I have also told police what I am saying that those who want me to shut up are behind the Sunday attempt to silence me”, he added.
I want to use this opportunity to attract the attention of the Nigeria Police to the case of Emeana. He is alive to tell the story, but one of my late friends, Ben Onyechere, who ran for Owerri Federal Constituency ticket in 2015 and former appointee of Abia State Governor, was not lucky to tell the story of how he encountered with armed gunmen suspected to be assasins few month ago. They confronted him at Ikenegbu area of Owerri. On leaving the supermarket, bullets were pumped into his body as he attempted to enter his vehicle. Onyechere was murdered in cold blood. No statement from the deceased journalist and politician about the encounter with his killers who fled with nothing after the dastardly act.
I can’t end without repeating “who is after Emeana’s life? Because Ndaa Ray as it is said in Owerri North politics and beyond is always “ OK

  • Imo Guber: The Owerri And Orlu Propaganda

    ekpee3
Politics they say is a “Game”. Just like football, Basket Ball, Hockey, Judo, Boxing, Wrestling etc. you can score goals with hands, hit below the belt, punch after the bell had rang. However, you could get away with these fouls if the refree is not alert or decided to connive with you.
But yet, despite the fact that politics is a “Game” but the need to apply Justice and fair play becomes imperative, if the victim of the foul play resolves to be vigilant to avoid further defeats by default.
In the case of Imo Governorship election, it seems that the issue of zoning, which was adopted by political leaders and Elders to encourage sense of belonging among the three political zones of Imo State, namely Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe, has been exploited covertly to the detriment of two zones in the arrangement. Whether anybody wants to agree or not, Imo State Governorship seat since 1991 has been based on zoning formula. Although it cannot be found anywhere documented, but it was agreed in principle by Imo citizens. The British constitution is not written down in any paper, yet the citizens obey the laws as a convention.
When Chief Evan Enwerem ran as Governor, he chose Dr Douglas Acholonu from Orlu as his running mate, because Enwerem comes from Atta in Owerri zone.
After Enwerem, Chief Achike Udenwa from Orlu emerged in 1999, with Engr Ebere Udeagu of Okigwe as Deputy.
In 2007, Chief Ikedi Ohakim from Okohia, Isiala Mbano, otherwise Okigwe Zone became Governor. And his Deputy was Dr Ada Okwuonu from Owerri Zone.
Even when there was plot to replace Okwuonu, Chief Ngozi Amaliri from Ngor Okpala, Owerri Zone, was touted to be on the radar.
When Owelle Rochas Okorocha won the 2011 Imo Governorship election, his Deputy was Sir Jude Agbaso from Emekuku, in Owerri zone. When Agbaso was impeached, Okorocha sought for Prince Eze Madumere, from Mbieri in Owerri Zone to replace him.
Therefore, much as politics remain a “Game”, it is clear to all Imo citizens that the Governorship seat of the State is rotated among the three Zones.
Even as all the zones produce Governorship candidates from other political parties, who participate in the general elections, deeply in their minds, Imo electorate vote based on rotation among the three zones.
Indeed, the latest propaganda that Imo Governorship seat is not zoned lacks logic and justice, and affronts the conscience of the Noble in this “Game” of Imo Governorship battle.
On record, it is a fact that since 1991, Owerri zone has held office as Governor only under Late Senator Evan Enwerem. And it lasted just Eighteen months.
Okigwe zone has tasted power in the State for Eight years-plus, under the evergreen Dr Sam Mbakwe and Chief Ikedi Ohakim, who did four years each.
Orlu zone did Eight years under Chief Achike Udenwa and now Owelle Rochas Okorocha, who when he completes his second term in 2019 would have placed Orlu on top of Imo Governorship Map, with Sixteen years.
Politics aside, any primary school pupil asked to do this mathematics would do justice to it by letting the world know which zone among the three has dominated Imo Governorship race.
Therefore, if Imo State is built on a tripod of three zones of equal partnership, there is no logic to justify why Orlu zone would be beating the Drums of agitation, to yet again join for Imo Guber race in 2019, when Okigwe and Owerri are still far behind on the table.
He who goes for equity, must come with clean hands. Today Nigeria is enmeshed in crisis following a spate of agitations from Igbo Nation and other sections of the Federation, as regards marginalization.
On Wednesday, the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was among other Southeast Governors, Elders and Leaders who met with the Acting President, Prof Osinbajo at Aso Rock on the issue of restiveness in Igboland, and the “Kaduna Declaration” by Northern Youths.
The main Agenda was the marginalization of Ndigbo in Nigeria, who complain that they are treated not like equal partners in Nigeria project, but like a conquered territory. That was how Chief Nnia Nwodo, President General of Ohaneze put it.
Now, fast track to Imo State and ask yourself how you think Okigwe and especially Owerri zone are feeling with the marginalization going on in the State that Imo Governorship is no more zoned, but has been abinitio been a survival of the fittest among the three political zones?
What is good for the Goose is also good for the Gander. Why would Imo Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha lead Igbos to ask for their rights for feeling oppressed in the Nigeria project, and yet does not see it that for Orlu to participate in Imo Governorship election in 2019 amounts to affront and insult on Owerri and Okigwe zones? It is the height of oppression and confrontation. It smacks of disrespect on the people of Okigwe and Owerri, who have been submitted to hewers of woods and water fetchers for Orlu zone in the last Sixteen years.
Rather than apply caution that these “Mumus” from Owerri and Okigwe have suddenly realized themselves, Orlu is beating War Drums, forgetting that how the Igbo feels in the current dispensation in Nigeria, is how the Okigwe and Owerri man feel in Imo State now.
Before God and man, it is a humungous injustice to deny Owerri people the Governorship seat of Imo State in 2019. Although it is said that power is not given, but fought for. But in 1999 when Owerri people were Incharge of the political power base of Imo State, they handed power on a plate to Orlu Zone via Chief Achike Udenwa.
When Chief Humphrey Anumudu, a son of Owerri, who was deprived of PDP ticket for Orlu in 1999 choose to challenge Udenwa in 2003 under ANPP, Owerri Leaders rose up to support Orlu Zone to complete its eight years.
Again in 2007, Chief Ikedi Ohakim from Okigwe emerged, Owerri again supported Okigwe.
In 2011, if not for internal sabotage from Orlu Zone, Ohakim would have returned to Government House Owerri. He swept the three local Government Areas in Mbaise Nation. He did not do too badly in Ngor Okpala though. But the “Settlers” issue marred his chances in Owerri Municipal Council. But results from Orlu shocked many who wondered how the electorate became too sophisticated to vote for Orlu Zone Lawmakers in the same election, but failed the sitting Governor.
Today, the usual story that Owerri is not together and therefore should go and put her house in order rents the air. Who told them Owerri is not together?
The accusation is that each election year, Owerri produces legions of Governorship Aspirants who fight themselves even before the major election.
But which zone is intact? Did Chief Ezekiel Izuogu from Orlu Zone not contest election against Chief Achike Udenwa from Orlu Zone?
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume from Isiala Mbano like Chief Ikedi Ohakim has fought his brother in all the Governorship elections in Imo State.
Therefore, the propaganda that Owerri is not together is the usual story thrown at Owerri people by their political detractors, who set them up against each other and corner the goodies, while the Owerri people fight among themselves.
That was how the Mbaise phobia was thrown into the system and Owerri people bought it hook, line and sinker.
As I write, Owerri enemies are at it again, stoking the wicked story that Mbaise taking charge of Imo State Governorship will be only for the benefit of Mbaise Nation alone. But how possible is that? Can anything be worse than what we have in the State now where all the sectors of the State is controlled by the Chief Executive and his immediate family alone?
Can Mbaise Nation operate alone without the support of other parts of the State? It is not possible! The Mbaise phobia is meant to put discord among Owerri people so that they cannot be together to fight the way Igbo is fighting now among other comity of Nigeria Nations in the marginalization that exist in today’s Nigeria.
The Mbaise phobia is just a myth manufactured by Owerri haters, who cannot find anything to destabilize the zone but throw fictitious hubris.
Would it be better that power remains in Orlu for the next eight years, making it twenty four years (24) before the Owerri man attains Imo Governorship seat? And sixteen years for Okigwe zone to wait? It sounds illogical and against the law of nature. Sometimes politics as a “Game” does not apply in all things.
It does not matter how many candidates emerged from Owerri Zone this time. At a certain period in this Nigeria, for equity and justice to reign, Yoruba Nation produced two presidential candidates in the persons of Chief Olu Falaye of ANPP and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo of PDP and in the end, Yorubas were appeased because one of their sons won the election.
For equity and justice, Governor Okorocha should look for an Owerri candidate from APC. There are a lot of qualified Owerri sons and daughters in the party to lead Imo in 2019.
Let PDP file an Owerri person, whether from Mbaike, Mbaise, Ngor Okpala or Municipal. Let the electorate decide.
When three people are eating and there are six pieces of meat in the soup, there is no excuse but for each person to get two pieces.
In the issue of Imo Governorship scenario since 1999, even the devil knows those that are being marginalized. Therefore, reducing such an important matter to a “Game” is too dangerous, especially now that most people are beginning to know their rights.
The mistake many are making is that they know the antidote to the Owerri man; money. But unfortunately, the situation has changed because the present crop of Owerri youths are ready to eat your money and still ask for their rights.
Whoever thinks that he/ she will use money to appease the Owerri man now should look for another plan. How Nnamdi Kanu who did not know even when the Biafran War was fought became the arrow head of Biafra agitation now baffles many. That is the case with Owerri man of today. They have learnt their lessons.

  • CONSPIRACY 2015 (1)

The just concluded presidential election in Nigeria particularly was what rightly goes for a conspiracy in the high places. In fact, the Almighty God was the first conspirator supported in His infinite glory by the four winds of the earth, namely; East, West, North and South. How did it go? First, the political atmosphere of the country was turbo-charged to the acme of flawed voter’s registration exercise master minded by none other than the weird professor of political science that was thrown up by divinity to champion the course of the national leftist who perceived themselves as the “progressives”. Do not lose grip of the first technical or strategic balls up committed by a God sent President Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan (GEJ) whose lasses faire attitude and unequalled simplicity that reflects in unparalleled gentle mien drove so insensitive as to allow in the first instance the successful registration of a typical merger of diverse political parties into a devil-mare-care formidable mega party christened the All Progressive congress (APC). This APC that could have technically been nipped in the bud by dis-allowing its spurious INEC registration abi-nitio was the undoing of the ruling but crumbling People’s Democratic Party. In lieu of a coalition, the APC was a product of a merger from various political parties with just one ulterior motive-to unseat the government of President GEJ and dis-member the crisis ridden PDP. This latent agenda was not only pretentiously pursued but very virulently orchestrated by an acrimonious ethnic bias rooted mainly in the long muted, nurtured and incubated ambition of the South West leftists of the Late Chief Awolowo’s stalk. At the nip of time, the triumph of the Awoists over the idealistic liberal Democrats in Nigeria was starring us in the faces. So, the fanatical adherents of the Awoism in the likes of the rather resolute Alhaji Bola Tinubu and his cohorts swiftly relived into an outburst of chanting doxology coined in the recent slogan ‘SAI Buhari’ for emerging victorious at last after four (4) years of seriously hungry attempts at the Presidential Seat Shot. And the conspiracy held sway, thus, the answered prayers of the masses to avert bloodshed and save the Nigeria unity in diversity in the utter contradiction of the dreaded Western prediction (coming from the uno numero world super-power the USA). Truly, beyond religious cleavages, everybody soaked deep in apprehension went on the knees to beckon and besiege the Almighty God to avert a looming mayhem. In honoring this invitation, God lent a positive response to the prayers of the fear-guttered, cowed and very apprehensive masses. How did it go? Firstly, God filliped a burning ambers of conspiracy in the hearts of the so called “progressives” both within the ruling PDP (not Boko Haram) and the opposition APC. While this was being orchestrated, the Boko Haram insurgence (a promise kept indeed at least to make Nigeria ungovernable since 2011 till date) was so fiercely raging and roaring from the volatile North East. Funny enough, the four winds of this earth ensured that the heart of GEJ strengthened like a flint, with both eyes wide open but seeing virtually nothing, both ears widely flipped open but hearing virtually nothing, the nostril so blunt to perceive the putrid odour of betrayal hanging around him like an avalanche, and the mouth held helplessly agape in utter consternation. And the beat goes on, while the fearless masquerades kept their dancing steps warming in practice unto mastery and finally the perfection. Now, the bondage falls, behold, the President GEJ’s own kinsman Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State (GEJ’s homestead) lead the conspirators alongside the Boko Harams that long was acknowledged to have infiltrated the FGN under GEJ as the first target; then, the disgruntled PDP faithful still hovering around the corridors of Aso Rock just like the vultures which already built their shadows in their talons. As the stage was getting set, the general election closes up rapidly, while the Judas Iscariot as the INEC (umpire) boss Jega busied self so much with frivolous reformations and hanky panky innovation that will relay his message of final socio-political betrayal of his own master GEJ whom obviously is no more at home with his fellow party men, cabinet, and even the henchmen in the moribund FGN. To exonerate myself from blasphemy, God knew it all as nothing is actually hidden from Him and nothing happens without His knowledge and permission too. If only the clergy and laity disposed to peruse this write-up will excuse this assertion, the emergence of Gen (rtd) Mohammadu Buhari as the President elect soon to be saddled is not only answered prayer but a saving grace of God to the spiritually sound only. I stand to be corrected. However, the vociferous Gen. (rtd) J.T.U Danjuma confirmed the fears of all and sundry just recently averted by the sudden surrender of GEJ even before the sound of the final whistle from Jega. Interestingly, the dogs and baboons were not soaked in blood anywhere at the moment. Recall, that GEJ as the commander -in-chief of the Armed forces and president of Nigeria has all it takes to have his ways and damn the consequences. Right from the preparation of the election time table, through the voters registration process, to the voter verification and accreditation non-senses, GEJ would have adjusted all the procedure to suit his purposes, which he did not. Why was he able to do so as to emerge the consensus presidential candidate of PDP over and above men of timber and caliber that scrambled for the ticket? Only GEJ has the answer with his God. Was it not possible to set the election timetable to be anytime from June, 2015 when perhaps Prof. Attahiru Jeha (the albatross umpire) and of course the APC hatchet man would have exhausted his legitimate term of office? But, GEJ ignored security report and advice (if any) against ominous signs. So, the conspiracy was resonated in the South East via Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, who solely championed the strange oriental association with the leftists after successfully selling the fallacious dummy that joining APC is the only option to hook the Igbos on to the national grid. This is quite regrettable. The conspiracy brooded in the South West spreading through the Mid-West, South -South, North-West, North-Central, was finally hatched in the North East. This is the boiling point of the ambitious APC and the melting point of the whittling PDP. The deal is done, though we are not yet as the dead end of it all whereas the erstwhile unholy alliance of the defunct Action Group (AG) and Northern People’s Congress (APC) now appears finally a holy one in APC. What Next?

  • Psychic Attack

Those wishing to understand the nature of man should come to the true knowledge of spiritual reality. Now, I have decided to look into serious aspects of life-psychic attack.
So many people do not know how to deal with this. Psychic attack is the act of inflicting injury or death by one person on another without having any contact. It is of note however that majority of people make use of demonic but elemental forces is dealing with their fellow men. Elemental force is an invisible power (that can function as a demon) which operates in or moves nature or man to activity. In science, the Elemental forces form the foundation of physics and Chemistry. There are two types of Elemental forces namely, the elemental force from the great depth of the Elemental Kingdom and the artificial Element: the former is God-made-nature, while the later is man- made.
An artificial Elemental is created when a person or group of persons engage in continual visualization and concentration on an object on which a strong emotion is felt. Such concentration or intensification of thought produces what is known as thought form. Once it is successfully built, the thought form becomes “ensouled” by an Elemental “essence” which is capable of independent existence outside the consciousness of its creator or creators. Let it be emphasized here the moment such thought is ‘ensouled’ by an elemental essence, any psychic entity can use it to function in various ways.
The original elemental forces have their abodes in four quarters of the earth in accordance with higher esoteric tradition. Again every elemental “being” is blind. This blindness should not be understood in the light of the physical lost of sight; no! The blindness here simply shows that they are like robot and zombie, they are always asleep. The only language they can understand (if language is the right word) is that of symbols or early morning words. Early morning words can stimulate and propel them into action.
For the good purpose of clarity, these elementals, all come under the supervision of Angels of light or that of darkness. Some people consciously or unconsciously come in contact with these blind forces through their mind as a result bring upon themselves untold hardship, fear, and other related evils which they later complain.
Any demonic entity cannot take over a body unless an individual gives way for it, by abandoning the body through involvement in addictive, obsessive, or compulsive patterns. Suicide attempts also open the body to possession by some entities. The demonic entity has the right to take over anybody’s body and use same as play ground for demonic activities. If the entity that has taken over the body that likes drinking or fornication, the moment he takes over the body, the person starts drinking or fornicating. Demonic possession does not operate from the area of love, the psychic entities use people to their (own) master’s advantage. The demon is not at the moment punished for doing this, rather the person he has possessed shares the responsibility of whatever the demon does. The duty of any demon in any person’s life, depends on the evolution of the entity. The entity can live on any level’, conscious, sub-concious, obsessive, compulsive or possessive. These levels are in each of us and the entity comes in on the level that is accessible.
These psychic entities could come from the astral causal, mental or etheric realm. Some fortune-tellers or mediums or native doctors would say that their guides -messengers come from either of the realms and may call them masters. Sometimes also these demons are very smart they may take over familiar forms and misrepresent themselves to be your uncle or late father in order to consolidate their manipulation upon your life. Demons can use information you release in the physical unite of existence to manipulate and delay your success. An entity may also be a personality from the astral level coming to hangout with some people in order to enslave and dominate them too.
The reader should know that there is a body in man which is always seen in the dream world which is also called the etheric body in the mystical parlance. This is like the soul body, which is the inner core of the physical body. This body is the internal “shell” that holds the physical body together. For us to exist as beings on earth the etheric body must be intact. This body is the middleman between the physical body and the two other bodies (soul and spirit) of man. If anything affects it adversely, (as it can happen) it lets loose its grip on the physical body and this allows the mental and spiritual bodies to begin their inward journey back home-Death occurs.
This is the body we see in the dream world from time to time. If you have ever heard of the “out” of the body experience “it is the etheric body that is functioning to allow anybody involved have such experience. This body operates very well when all the physical senses are closed down either by deliberate action, sleep or unconsciously. As a Christian, I mean a born again, spirit filled child of God, if you abide in Christ righteousness, your etheric body will be impenetrable as a result no attack of the enemy can tear you into pieces. If the etheric body of any person that is not rooted in Christ is tampered with when he/she is asleep, it could result to death.
So many people have been attacked in the realm of the spirit during sleep. When we sleep our astral or etheric (soul body) more into higher realm of the spirit world, if enemies (agents of darkness) succeed to poison anybody in the spirit, it must manifestate in the physical due to the relationship between the realm. If the poison is not removed through serious prayers, the person’s body will begin to disintegrate and it may result to physical death. The Bible says, “the wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him” ps. 37:32.
Recently a young lady called me and said that she was attacked on the dream; consequently she was forced by some men to drink a particular substance. She drank it and when she woke up she started having serious stomach problem that finally snowballed into serious swollen stomach. She has gone to many hospitals yet the problem resisted every medical treatment hence it is a serious psychic attack. When she contacted me on phone, I recommended my anointing oil to her, she used it and prayed and fasted as she was instructed. Two weeks thereafter, she excreted something that looks like palm- carnel oil. Her stomach became very normal and healed. This is the nature of another psychic attack.
If anyone experience anything of this nature in his dreams, the one should immediately start praying for only prayers and proper meditation upon God’s word together with singing praises to God, would heal and deliver the person. Should anyone find himself killed in the dream world, unless quick spiritual steps are taken to arrest the situation, the one would soon die. This brings us to some diseases which worry the body which medical doctors may find very difficult or impossible to detect in the physical body. Such diseases are called etheric/psychic disease because they are located in the etheric body.
You may have seen a case of someone who is very much sick and seriously dying, yet laboratory result from all indication shows that the person is not sick at all; yet the person is dying. I have handled so many cases of such nature. Doctors and medical lab scientists run into trouble here. Unfortunately, our modern science is yet to direct their research into this aspect of life hence they do not know about this subtle body called etheric body. Until we become ready to be serious with higher research, any disease that enters man through the etheric body is not likely to be cured by drugs prepared by physicians.
In the inner world, someone could be raped. If one is raped in the spiritual realm, it would result to many ugly occurrences. Why is it that medical research has not found permanent solution to sickness like cancer, hypertension, diabetes to mention but a few?

  • BABA-NA-BABA ON 2015 VIBES Another Rat Race For Orlu Zone Senate Position

    oga kcc

Orlu zone otherwise known as Imo West is one of the Senatorial zones that make up Imo state. Apart from having the greatest number of local governments than other zones in the state, it has unique attributes of producing elegant politicians and political playmakers. Orlu zone comprises Orlu, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema, Isu, Njaba Nwangele, Nkwerre, Ideato North and Ideato South LGAs. Of the ten federal constituencies Imo state can boast of, four are domiciled in Orlu zone.
Going down memory lane, the zone has produced scintillating senators in the past till in 2011, when Hope Uzodimma came on board after a dramatic challenge from his immediate predecessor, Osita Izunaso.
Izunaso, formerly of the PDP upgraded from the House of Reps to Senate in 2007 under PDP. The Oru West born federal lawmaker wanted a return ticket under PDP in 2011 but his interest clashed with that of Uzodimma from neighbouring Oru East. The race for who grabs the party’s ticket was interesting with intrigues and the unprecedented horse trading was not enough to settle the brouhaha raised by the party primaries. Even at the close of primaries and on the day of election, PDP faithful in Orlu zone were not aware who they voted for as the courtroom took charge of deciding between Uzodimma and Izunaso the authentic owner of the votes cast during the last National Assembly elections.
However, the apex court clearly differentiated Uzodimma from Izunaso as the undisputated candidate of PDP in 2011 election. Before then, there has been crisis of confidence in the hierarchy of the party in the state leading to discontent in some quarters. The resultant effect was that Izunaso who seems to have developed the knack not to be outside power and beyond the gate of the ruling class in the state dumped PDP for APGA moments after Rochas Okorocha won the May 6,2011 Supplementary Election. Izunaso instantly became one of the “big fish” to show solidarity and support to new governor. Subsequently, they migrated to APC from APGA where the former Orlu zone Senator continued his jackpot game by grabbing the National organizing secretary job of the newly-formed All Progressive Congress, APC.
Available checks on latest developments in Orlu zone politics indicate that Izunaso wants a return bout at the senate. Apart from informing close associates who are raising political platforms and campaign machinery to make his ambition a fait accompli, Izunaso is said to be using his vintage position as a national officer of the party to pull strings to his side. In apparent bid to ensure that APC shuns mediocre and parades the best in the next general election which would be the maiden litmus test for the party, the leader of APC in the state and governor, Okorocha, is said to be appearing indifferent to the desires of Izunaso as government apparatus and functionaries focused their attention in a notable philanthropist and billionaire businessman, Felix Idiga.
Idiga, it was reported had had initial romance with PDP, before hobnobbing with APC sympathizers. The between APC and, Idiga, otherwise known as JAFAC, romance, it was gathered was meant to give Izunaso tough challenge for the party’s ticket until the Amaifeke-Orlu born mega contractor retraced to PDP to intensify his senatorial ambition.
The action left Okorocha and his APC foot soldiers of Orlu zone in the lurch for fresh search for another challenger to Izunaso. Before now, a former House of Reps member who represented Isu, Nkwerre, Nwangele and Njaba federal constituency, Juliet Obasi-Akano, (Mrs), had been rumoured as a senatorial aspirant of the party. Despite entreaties and image dressing stunts she had done to identify with the Okorocha administration and market APC, Akano seems not to have gotten the overwhelming approval ovation to stand for the primaries against Izunaso. Believing that the former lawmaker also of PDP extraction between 2007 – 2011, may not match Izunaso, one Chigbu Gibson from Nkwerre is the rave of the moment among APC members in the zone.
Chigbu appears to be the latest joker to the ticket as notable government functionaries and egg heads in the party seem to be rooting for him as possible alternative to fielding Izunaso.
Before now, Izunaso has been criss-crossing the length and breath of Orlu zone using his old routes who may have joined him from PDP to APGA and later APC. Under the banner of the Kpakpando Foundation, Izunaso as an old war horse is not leaving any stone unturned in his quest to easily get the party ticket. A routine of political acolytes in APC have been drumming support for Izunaso using the Kpakpando Foundation forum, while the ex-senator has been oiling his desire from the national office. In the post ward, LGA and state congress canker worm that is still rocking the unity of APC in the state, Izunaso’s preferred candidates are said to be the ones officially recognized and authentic officers of the party at various levels against that of the state governor and his agents in Abuja office of the party. More so, his privileged position may not be overlooked even as he will definitely resign before running for the senatorial primaries.
However, Izunaso has an uphill task to overcome in the party before the deciding election. The former senator’s problem emanates from the home front where cold war is said to be brewing between him and his erstwhile ally and Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Donatus Ozoemena, a pharmacist. It is believed that one of the multiplier effects of the Izunaso/Okorocha partnership during the birth of Rescue Mission is the position of Deputy Speaker which Ozoemena merited as member representing Oru West Izunaso’s constituency in the state legislature. Unconfirmed reports have it that the former lawmaker’s surgical incursion into the governor may have earned him the position which Ozoemena gained. But the centre can no longer hold as new election is approaching with both parties nursing contradicting ambitions.
Because of divergent interest, a cold war now pervades between the two Oru West frontline APC stakeholders. Ozonemena has declared interest to run for Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta federal constituency election under APC. By implication, two people from Oru West are gunning for the National Assembly tickets of APC which may be suicidal as the other LGAs and political blocks in the area may not fold their alms and allow Ozoemena and Izunaso cart away House of Reps and Senate tickets of APC respectively. This factor may have attracted discortant tunes in their camps and those holding allegiance to the Deputy Speaker in Oru West and entire Federal constituency are said to be opposed to Izunaso’s proposed return, hence their alignment to other candidates from other areas also aspiring for the senate position.
Beyond the home challenge, Izunaso is also suffering fresh acceptability difficulties at the local levels especially from Okorocha’s followers. The ghost of the dismal outing he recorded in 2011 is still haunting him.
The belief in APC quarters of Orlu zone is that he may not garner the needful to prosecute the Senator war against tough opposition considering that as an incumbent in 2011, he could not win the party primaries to a new comer who finally carried the day during his PDP days. Observes vividly recalled that while his main challenger, Uzodimma armed his coordinators with brand new (tear rubber) buses and required incentives, Izunaso’s coordinators managed with rickety vehicles that were unable to survive the pre-election movements. The impression created was that Izunaso failed to provide the needed moral booster against Uzodimma despite his status as a serving Senator. It was also discovered that the un-savoury recall saga he underwent in the hands of Orlu zone constituents piloted by some of his out-of favour comrades during his hey days in the Red Chamber also left a scar in the mental phyche of Imo West Senatorial APC members who may not want a sad reminder of that ill-fated democratic upheaval.
It will also appear magical for Izunaso to excel if emerging trends in Orlu zone arm of APC is anything to be reckoned with. The latest from the zone is that stakeholders of the Ideato federal constituency comprising Ideato North and Ideato South as well as the largest federal constituency in the country Isu, Njaba, Nkwerre and Nwangele have resolved to join forces to ensure the latter produces the APC senatorial candidate. This mutual agreement it was learnt has been communicated to the party’s leader in the state, governor Okorocha.
This agreement gives credence and backing to the separate ambitions of Akano and Chigbu. Both are from Isu, Nwangele, Nkwerre and Njaba Federal Constituency. The resolution of the two federal constituencies is for mutual benefit. While Isu, Njaba, Nkwerre and Nwangele federal constituency and Ideato Clan have been denied the chance to produce a Senator since Nigeria’s nascent democracy debuted in 1999 both want to partner to produce Senator and retain governorship positions in next year general election respectively. So far, no aspirant from Ideato has declared interest to run for senate of Orlu zone in 2015 in APC.
Akano has been awesome and one of the earliest who showed tremendous support to Okorocha government. To usher in her interest, Akano went on billboard maniac with the governor by placing her picture with that of Okorocha at strategic entry and exit points in Orlu zone. She has also gone further to operate as the governor’s female attack dog whenever tackles from the opposition fires against Rescue Mission government. Akano in attempting to curry the favour of the number one citizen of Imo has always responded whenever Okorocha’s female tormentor-in-chief, and Minister of state for Foreign Affairs, Prof Mrs. Viola Onwuliri hurls verbal missiles at the state government. The female ex-lawmaker is said to be relying on the supposed “eye-service” she has rendered so far to the governor and her gender status as weapon to gain the ticket of APC via Okorocha’s sympathy. As a former federal legislator, her political network during her stay in the House of Reps is also another remarkable advantage to garner massive support from the grassroots.
Akano’s suspected poor social carriage and unpleasant relationship with people at all strata may be her greatest albatross at grabbing APC senatorial ticket. Her financial muscle to prosecute a senatorial bid that cuts across 12 LGAs is also a suspect that is giving APC stakeholders cause to worry.
For Gibson Chigbu, a neophyte in politics, his strongest point is that of clean political history. Unlike other aspirants who may be burdened with image baggage and battling to clean stained past stamps, Chigbu is free and marketable. Said to be rich and loaded with monetary logistics if his financial involvement in multi million conglomerate is anything to go by, the Nkwerre-born businessman has become the most sought after Orlu zone APC aspirants. Already tongues are wagging that who-is-who in Okorocha government from the zone are already queuing behind the senatorial aspirant for allention. It was even noted that the need for Chigbu to throw in his hat into the ring for the APC ticket forced the likes of Okorocha’s inlaw and Commissioner for Land, Uche Nwosu to drop the Reps ambition he was rumoured to be nursing. Since Chigbu and Nwosu are from Nkwerre, it would not augur well for other LGAs to allow Nkwerre alone grab available tickets in the zone and federal constituency. Only recently, a newspaper report alleged that Chigbu shares affinity with a kingmaker in Okorocha government, Prof Tony Anwukah, who serves as the secretary to the state government (SSG).Anwukah who is from Oguta, in Orlu zone may go in a long way to pull the strings in the favour of Chigbu when the chips are down.
As a new arrival to the scene, Chigbu may also go through the necessary procedures of scaling hurdles before emerging victorious. Since money cannot get everything, Chigbu may throw away cash to political vampires who have opened their empty vault to milk him dry under the pretext of handing him APC ticket. Already political mongers have inserted their sucking pipes on the Nkwerre man acting as coordinators, facilitators and mobilisers. Except, he builds a perfect campaign platform on all frontiers to make his dream a reality, he could be on a wild goose chase and pay the supreme price of a political JJC in the slippery terrain of partisan politics that is characterized by deceit and under hand plays. Between now and when the hand of the clock reaches the time for primaries, Chigbu needs to cover grounds to garner the needed popularity to match an established Izunaso and Akano who are already ground and parading exiting war chest to battle opponents for the senate ticket.
This commentary for lack of space will end here for now until next week when I will enter into the PDP family where some fanciful gladiators are employing different modules to gain attention. From the incumbent, Hope Uzodimma who seems to be in a dilemma over his next political ambition to the main crusader for the Ideato Clan, ThankGod Ezeani, Orlu born business mogul Joseph Idiga, (JAFAC) the latest entrant, Eze Nwauwa representing the interest of Oil Producing areas of Imo, the coming race will definitely take the shape of 2011 primaries where a photo finish scenario was observed. God’s willing keep a date next week Thursday for the continuation of the series centering on the PDP arm of the aspirants.

  • Re; The Gathering Storm For Owerri Federal Constituency Battle

    KC May 8, 2014
    By vin amadi (08037432116)

The above was an article at the back page of the TRUMPETA Newspaper of Thursday May 1st , 2014 vol.4 No.287. In his comments, the author labored to analyze and situate the critical subject of the reality or otherwise of zoning of elective positions in Owerri Federal constituency which comprises Owerri North, Owerri West and Owerri Municipal local government Areas. Indeed, reading from the author one would not but admit that he made quite some good efforts to situate the records accordingly, but suffice it to say that his admission of not coming from the constituency robbed him of the vital records which he quoted wrongly. It is for the purpose of keeping these records straight that I wish to come into the matter, being from the constituency and seized of the right information. For the sake of both the author in question and other innocent persons , especially the young ones having need to be properly informed on the subject matter, it becomes absolutely
demanding that the right and proper information be put in the public domain.
First, let me agree with the author that zoning in Owerri Federal constituency is an issue of the mind and not a practical thing as would have been, for the purpose of distributing the office to benefit each of the constituent local government Areas in a one -at -a -time order. But as he rightly posited, zoning could not have been agreed and implemented when Owerri West local government Area between 1999-2007 produced in succession, two Federal House members in the persons of Hon. Chief Levi Oguike and Hon. Barrister Uche Onyeagucha, who , each spent four years in the green chambers of the National Assembly. Before this time however Chief A.U.D Nwosu from same Owerri West LGA was elected on the platform of DPN during the diarchical regime of General Sani Abacha.
In analyzing the experiences and chances of some of the aspirants, the author succinctly described the present member representing Owerri North State Constituency in the Imo House of Assembly , Hon. Dan Ikpeazu in superlative terms, agreeing that the lawmaker has done remarkably well and provided effective representation to his constituents , which according to him involved the provision of “not less than 19 transformers to various autonomous communities in his constituency, as well as agric -related empowerment to reduce joblessness in the society”. He went further to admit that …”Ikpeazu holds regular constituency briefings where he reels out his scorecard and inform Owerri North happenings in present day government”.
Before responding to the criticism of the author against Hon, Ikpeazu, let me first of all direct him to note that between 1979 and 1983 Owerri Federal constituency including Ngor Okpala was not represented by “one Brigadier Amadi from Uratta” as he said. The right information is that Owerri had two federal constituencies then, namely Owerri South and Owerri North federal constituencies. Owerri South federal constituency then which included Ngor Okpala and the present OAU-(Obube/Agbala/Ulakwo) and Obibiezena, including some communities in present Owerri West Local Government Area like Emeabiam, Okolochi etc was represented by Hon.Chief Columbus Obihara from Umuovum Ulakwo and his Party was the Nigeria Peoples Party (NPP). Owerri North Federal Constituency then which Brigadier Amadi represented comprised the present Owerri North, West, and Municipal councils as affected by amendments in the nomenclature of the present concerned local governments.
So, this is the true and authentic picture of the situation, and I urge the author to take note.
To the criticisms of Hon. Dan Ikpeazu, the author said that the lawmaker is wallowing in fools paradise if he thinks the milestones he has recorded within three years is enough to push him further than his Owerri North frontier”. He went further to write that “the Agbala born businessman cum lawmaker is still believed to be a political rookie who was only opportuned to be in the House of Assembly by stroke of luck. His political clout is only felt in his OAU bloc of Owerri North political divide”.
He continues… “Ikpeazu needs to overcome Local challenges emanating from his Agbala place of origin before seeking support from outsiders to make real his ambition of going further in the House of Reps campaign. The bitter pills experienced in Agbala community over Ezeship tussle have greatly affected Ikpeazu’s image and popularity”.
Without being told, the reading public knows that my interest is directly located in the confines of these criticisms and is meant to educate the author properly and to avoid unnecessary and unwarranted misinformation. Before taking them seriatim, I wish to commend the author for admitting that Hon. Ikpeazu has, within the period of his stay in the Assembly provided very effective representation to his Owerri North Constituents which has the ingredients of electric transformers, agric empowerment to the youths and regular consultation with his people.
If we must be honest to ourselves the statutory responsibility of every House member besides law making is to meet with his people from time to time to inform them the happenings in government and obtain their views that will help him vote over certain situations on the Assembly floor. Hon. Ikpeazu has not only organized several town hall meetings with his Owerri North people at various centers, but he has brought the meetings home where, on regular basis various groups of people and even individuals make it a point of duty to visit him for discussions and he opens up to them in very friendly and intimate manner.
I remember reading an article by the Editor-in-Chief of the Trumpeta Newspaper, Mr. Henry Ekpe (Hardo) who expressed bitterness that since his three years as a member representing his Local Government of Ngor-Okpala that Hon. Emeka Nwofor is not known to him and that he is not aware of any constituency meeting of the member with his Constituents which includes him (Henry). But in the contrary Hon. Ikpeazu is known in every nook and cranny of Owerri North among the youths, the women and the men. Out of the 21 Autonomous Communities in Owerri North, Hon. Ikpeazu has donated average of one electric transformer to each, and in some cases some communities received two. So far he has given out 25 electric transformers. Among the corporate beneficiaries are the All Saints Anglican Church Egbu and the Timber Traders Naze. In addition, he has relieved many communities of the burden of replacing their several electric poles fallen by wind and paid accumulated
electric bulk bills for his Agbala community. The beneficiaries of the fallen poles include Obibiezena and the Orji mechanic village with a total of over 20 concrete poles. Currently he is taking the responsibility of running High Tension electric lines to step down a transformer for the people of Amaeze Obibiezena. He also paid for the bulldozing of the Ndegbelu Awaka-Ishiuzo Egbu track road which has increased the value of land around the affected area and eased the traffic congestion on the Owerri -Umuahia road. Some local roads with ditches and portholes that traverse Naze, Obibiezena and Uboegbgelu in Azaraubo community have been sand filled and graded at the expense of this lawmaker. Hon. Ikpeazu did not end there; he had organized a comprehensive free medical program for the sick in Owerri North Local Government Area which lasted for 6 days with about 8 Doctors and over 16 Nurses/Attendants. The project dispensed about 1,500 eye glasses.
Furthermore, he has embarked on youth agric empowerment program. After training over 300 youths in general agric practices Hon Ikpeazu had supplied about 90 of them from OAU/Obibiezena and Naze with 100 day old chicks and 4 bags of feeds each while others in piggery received 4 piglets each and bags of feeds as well. The rest of the beneficiaries will be attended to in the next few weeks. Hon. Ikpeazu’s desire to provide sustainable empowerment to the youths of Owerri North constituency has been quite legendary. He demonstrated this by training over 60 youths on ICT, who today have become either self employed, or employers themselves. In the same vein, he has provided the youths a kind of social platform by instituting an annual football competition which costs him an estimated one million naira through the organization and reward packages. As part of social and philanthropic gestures the lawmaker bought and distributed over 500 bags of 50kg rice as
Christmas gift to his constituents during the yuletide across political party divide. This gesture has been a continuous one. He has bought and donated 5 motor vehicles to his political aids and his former APGA LGA Chairman. Hon. Ikpeazu doles out the sum of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) in every 3 months for empowerment of a group of women in Owerri North. These are all verifiable facts and they are directly sponsored by him. These gestures are irrespective of the numerous kind hearted support he gave to many families as scholarship to indigent students when he was a councilor.
From available records, no past or present legislator in the House of Assembly or the Federal House of his own area has comparatively delivered such magnitude of projects to his constituency at personal expense. Hon. Ikpeazu’s influence as per his achievements ring bell in the whole of Owerri Federal constituency and that has already given him goodwill even before he sets out to campaign for votes. It is either a deliberate misinformation or outright ignorance of the fact to say that Hon. Ikpeazu is a political opportunist or a neophyte. In fact, Hon. Ikpeazu is one of the most experienced home grown politicians that Owerri North has ever produced. He was a councilor that represented Agbala/Ulakwo ward in 2004-2007, within which period he was Majority Chief Whip of the Council. So he has full grip of his local government politics which most legislators at both the state and Federal levels do not have. He therefore cannot be described as a rookie or
having his clout only felt in his OAU bloc. Mention Hon. Dan Ikpeazu and tell me any person whether politician or not who does not know him in Owerri North L.G.A.
Then finally, it is said in Igbo that “it is the uninformed who exhumes a corpse from the legs”. The author in reference cannot know Agbala politics more than Hon. Ikpeazu who is a native and who knows the calculations that will deliver anybody in the town.
I would have loved to tutor the author on the politics of Ezeship in Agbala which he raised as a challenge to Hon. Ikpeazu for his support for a candidate, but the issue is currently lying in the courts and hence cannot be discussed. However, if there is any person in Agbala community who deserves respect, commendation and encouragement, it is Hon. Ikpeazu for his understanding of what Ezeship means in the future of any community aspiring for good name and greatness. If Ezeship in Agbala is not a personal inheritance of any particular individual or family, then is it a crime that Hon. Ikpeazu declares in whom he thinks has the pedigree to represent him that will show the way as a role model? It is not in doubt that Hon. Ikpeazu has all it takes to moves further than the imagination of the author and go ahead to win the Federal House, irrespective of the so called Ezeship politics.
There is no community in Imo State which got an Eze under the rotational constitution that did it without divided interest. It is normal and Agbala is not an exception. Rather than diminish Hon. Ikpeazu’s image, the Ezeship politics in Agbala which has attracted the sympathy of neighboring communities is an image tonic for the lawmaker because he has demonstrated character and love for community shorn of fear and hypocrisy. Any Agbala person whose wish is to wait until Hon. Ikpeazu rises to pull him down is wallowing in self destruction because God has already elevated Ikpeazu, and head or tail, he will remain relevant and comfortable both in and out of politics.
