Newly-sworn in Transition Committee Chairmen of the 27 Councils in the state have been administered with oath of office to assume duties.
At the event held at the Government House Owerri, the chairmen were advised to take the message and good works of the Rescue Mission to the local levels.
The new LG bosses were advised not to engage in acts that are not in conformity with the dreams and aspirations of the present government and warned the chairmen to desist from embarking on projects they may not be able to complete before the end of the tenure.
Expectedly, the chairmen may spend only three months in office, preceding the April 2014 council pools in the state.
