The federal High Court sitting in Owerri Imo State has ordered the appearance of the accused persons, Hon Ikechukwu Amnuka and his brother Eustace Amnuka on the alleged certificate forgery case instituted against them by Barr COC Ezerebo in order to speed up the delivery of justice.
The SM Shuaibu Court sitting in the Federal High Court Owerri, averred that the accuse persons must appear in court before the motion of stay-of-execution filed by the defence counsel led by N Epele (esq) be heard or granted. Also their application to stop the court from further prosecution of accused persons was overruled by the court.
The court also submitted that the prosecuting counsel can go ahead and arrest the accused persons and make them available to court in order to speed up the proceeding and deliver justice timely.
Hon Justice Shuaibu, the presiding judge went further to charge counsel to stop dragging the name of the court to the mud with unjustified delay of justices delivering, lawyers were also warned to stop being emotional with cases involving politicians as the public is watching the court.
The count adjourned to the 4th of April 2014 for hearing of substantive matter of seven court charges of forgery.
