One has observed that the re- introduction of SULO has not in any way helped in the disposal of refuse in Owerri and environs.
It was learnt that some of the SULOS are either misused by residents or they simply lack the basic knowledge of how to manage the equipment.
Along Wethedral by Ikenegbu junction, one can see clearly how one of the SULO bins was pushed into the gutter, thus emptying the entire contents of the rubbish in the SULO bin into the gutter.
This has not only polluted the drainage, but is responsible for the stench oozing out from the scene.
Those in charge of disposing the SULOs should quickly intervene, else an impending epidemic will be imminent in the Area.
There should be enlightenment programme and campaign on the usage of the equipment.
