
The former Chairman of National Population Commission, Chief Festus Odimegwu from Imo State is among the selected Nigerians to midwife the coming of President-Elect, Muhamadu Buhari of the APC.
Odimegwu who acted as the Chief Executive of the National Population Commission NPC before he resigned will be part of the committee established on Wednesday by Buhari to form his transition program.
Alongside highly profile Nigerians, Odimegwu will be led by Mallam Ahmed Joda with the likes of Amaechi Rotimi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Audu Ogbe and APC National Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun making the list.
Their terms of reference is to review the balance sheet of government, the status of assets and liabilities, cash flow, public domestic and external debt, outstanding contractual obligations and the status of implementation of capital projects.
The Panel Odimegwu is part of will provide a brief over view of CBN, NNPC, NCC, Customs and FIRS, as well as suggest, a quick fixes “which will result in visible and practical measures so that the change will be seen”.
