An epoch making event took place and will remain a memorable day in Nguru Mbaise as over Twenty four traditional rulers converged in umunne ato, Nguru Aboh Mbaise to bless their son Enyinna Patrick Nwogu to prepare him for his governorship Journey, even as a mammoth crowd of his supporters accompanied him to the event. Enyinna Patrick Nwogu an industrialist and philanthropist couldn’t hide his joy as he was warmly received in Mbaise by the twenty four traditional rulers who patiently awaited his arrival.
Arising from the blessing, he said to the party members and the crowd of supporters who cheered him that this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it, and with alarming humility he continued, “I am the least, I am not the best nor the strongest, nor the most Knowledgeable but yet today, it has pleased God to raise me” this speech drew tears from the cheering crowd of supporters and the traditional rulers on their part advised him to eschew politics of bitterness and to be a good ambassador of the Mbaise nation wherever he goes.
Enyinna Patrick Nwogu promised the traditional rulers that he wouldn’t let them down. He promised to run an issue based campaign and when elected will work with the best hands to develop Imo State to an enviable height. He thanked them for the trust the reposed in him to lay their hands of blessing on him.
Prominent among those who accompanied him to the event are Mr. Chuka Nnorom a public and political analysis and also the director general divine International Movement, Lolo and Lady Vivian Imochukwu, Mr. Chris Okoro, President Polife Owerri Catholic Archdiocese, Dr Anastasia Igwe C.E.O Victory home for the aged, Johnson Akakem, C.E.O Dino foods Nig. Ltd. Engr. Ihedore Banire Chairman hope for Nigeria and a lot of YPP party members, speaking to one of our correspondent, Chuka Nnorom said Enyinna Patrick Nwogu is premus inter pere, and a man of impeccable character, trustworthy, and above all God fearing. He further said “what happening here today is just like the blessing of Isaac to Jacob.
