The peaceful movement in Owerri, Imo State capital was yesterday slightly disrupted by demonstrating staff of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC, who not only blocked entrance into the complex but also went on street protest.
Trumpeta learnt that the grouse of the workers for taking to the streets and chanting offensive songs against the State Government, emanates from non -payment of salaries and alleged salary deductions.
The workers took positions in the early hours of the days and stopped the Managing Director and Board members from gaining entrance by chanting “Oga MD, produce our salaries August &September Now, or strike will continue”
From the ISOPADEC complex in New Owerri, the workers marched to Govt. House, Owerri to lay their complaints.
