Imo PDP Governorship: Ironna Best Option For Ihedioha

A Socio-cultural Organization, by name, Orlu Peoples Front, OPF, has lambasted the News Report that a section of Orlu Zone is against the choice of Hon Gerald Ironna as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Imo State

Speaking to Trumpeta in Owerri yesterday, Chief Samson Onyekwere, who spoke onbehalf of Orlu Peoples Front, OPF as the National President, maintained that it was only saboteurs who will not see Ironna’s choice as a blessing to Orlu zone in 2019 political dispensation.

Chief Onyekwere who said he was not to reel out Gerald Ironna’s qualities, as that was not under contention, but to thank the PDP Governorship candidate Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha for finding their son worthy to be his Deputy, a position he said is highly sought after, yet Ihedioha choose Ironna.

Chief Onyekwere disclosed that even if Orlu man emerges Governorship candidate of a party tomorrow, it is better for Orlu not to put her eggs in one basket, as what it means is that come 2019, Orlu zone would produce either Governor or Deputy.

“Orlu Peoples Front wish to congratulate Ihedioha, and thank him for picking our son as his Deputy. We also want to state it here that Orlu zone is happy for that opportunity given to one of our illustrious sons”. Onyekwere told Trumpeta.

He cautioned saboteurs to be careful and desist from fanning embers of discord in Orlu zone, pointing out that whoever from Orlu that is appointed anything should be supported by all, because in the end, it is the entire Orlu that would benefit from it.
