The senator elect Imo East Senatorial District (Owerri Zone), Sen Ezenwa Onyewuchi has recorded another remarkable victory following his court victory against Sen Chris Anyanwu in an Owerri Federal High Court last Friday.
Sen Anyanwu who contested the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial primary election in October 2018, had gone to court shortly after the exercise to challenge the resounding victory of the senator elect.
But, last week, her ill fate chase of elusive victory came crashing like a pack of cards as the Federal High Court struck out the petition for lacking in merit.
In it’s ruling, the learned judge had described the petition as watery, lacking in substance and mere academic exercise and subsequently threw out the petition.
Reacting to the judgment, the senator elect described it as victory for democracy even as he dedicated it to God and the good people of the zone.
The lawmaker assured the people of the zone of his preparedness to give them effective and quality representation in the 9th senate which is slated for inauguration in the next two months
