The student Union Government of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri has denied that it has plans to embark on protest again.
Student Union President Comrd. Albert Michael and the Secretary Comrd.Nwekeh Christian .C. while refuting the allegation stated that the said story is untrue because the students have at no time contemplated any form of showdown with neither the Imo state Government nor Management of the institution.
Also they denied the alleged school Management and Transport Union conspiracy to hike transport fare, maintaining that the crop of management and Students Union in the institution can never engage in such anti-student deal.
In his own opinion, the assistance PRO of the institution Mr Chinedu Nwamara frowned at the said story adding that it is not the kind of publication that befit a Rector that has performed creditably in the areas of infrastructure, peace and tranquillity. He however commended the Rector Dr (Mrs) Celestina Njoku for all her landmark achievements.
He said that the students are working in harmony with the management of the school to ensure a conducive environment for learning.
