The Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria has expressed concern over the high cost of food and rising insecurity in the country.
The Forum also lamented that the nation is battling unstable exchange rate and corruption, among other pressing challenges.
The position of the former deputy governors was made known by Dr Chris Akomas, an ex-deputy governor of Abia State, in a statement he made available to journalists in Umuahia.
The group which said that it is drumming support for strategic solutions for good governance, said that innovative solutions should be applied to achieve food security as well as stimulate sustainable growth in the country.
According to Akomas, who is the Chairman of Forum of Former Deputy Governors, the group is convening a conference in Abuja to intervene and address Nigeria’s economic challenges.
