In a bid to encourage and motivate Imo Lawmakers for good representation of the constituents and the state in general, the media correspondents attached to the State House of Assembly have concluded arrangements to assess the performance of the lawmakers and make it public through the media.
According to a release signed by the Chairman House of Assembly Correspondents, Mr Chigozie Uzosike, a five-man committee has been inaugurated by the body to assess the performances of the Imo State House of Assembly Lawmakers from 2011 to 2012.
The five-man Committee are; Iwueze Vita-Chairman, Leonard Ajoku – Secretary, Benita Akudike, Ike Nwosu, Don Uba as members.
Meanwhile, they are to look into, Motions/Bills sponsored, attendance, ability to address issues, components, article, punctuality, constituency projects and expression. The aim is to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the system. The assessment committee has been given one month to submit its report.
However, they have been charged to be objective in their assessment and ensure that they are not bias in their reports.
