Over the weekend , the management and staff of a leading medical/ health facility in Imo State under the aegais Precious Stone Specialist Hospital located at Km2 Owerri-Onitsha Express Road Behind Salvation Ministries, Irete Owerri held her 4th Thanksgiving/graduation ceremony of Nurses Assistants in grand style .

The well attended event which took place at the hospital premises with the theme : I am doing a new thing , “Isaiah 43:19″ , witnessed the presence of notable personalities who graced the occasion , amongst whom the Medical Director CMD of Imo State Specialist Hospital Umuguma , Dr. Chima Oparaji , The MD Precious Stone Specialist Hospital , Precious Healthy life Foundation Dr.Damian Oparaocha, Former Imo Health commissioner Dr. Ernest Nwaigbo , Imo NMA Vice Chairman and Consultant Chemical pathologist Dr.John Ohiri who represented the Imo State NMA Chairman , Rev Dr.Victor Isiodu and host of other dignitaries.

The General Overseer of Divine Ambassadors’ Christian Assembly (DACA), Pastor Benedict Timothy, admonished all on the theme of the program encouraging that for God to do a new thing in our lives and society we must align with agenda of God.

Admonishing the Graduands the MD Imo State Specialist Hospital Dr.Chima Oparaji stressed on the need for the Nurses Assistants to remember their humble beginnings , and remain dedicated to their assigned duties .

In his remarks the Medical Director of Precious Stone Specialist Hospital and CEO Precious Healthy Life Foundation Dr. Damian Oparaocha reeled out a brief testimony of God’s Goodness and mercies in his life , he said ” On September 2nd 2025 I had a surgery in my leg but God did his miracle , I can walk today , this is the 4th series of this ceremony , this hospital started in a rented apartment at works layout , we moved from there to our permanent site where we are now”.

Speaking on the performances of the Nurses Assistants so far, Dr.Oparaocha said they are doing tremendously well. He highlighted that more 90 percent of private Hospitals in Imo State and even Nigeria, work with Nurses Assistants. He enjoined the Graduands to be good ambassadors and remain focus anywhere they find themselves.

Dr.Oparaocha also pointed out that Precious Stone Specialist Hospital also inculcate cultural , religion values along side education and knowledge , he said ” We are also giving education and knowledge with a touch of culture , we are not only involved in training the Nurses Assistants , we have Precious Healthy Life Foundation which helps people to solve the challenge of emergency Cardiac challenges,Precious Stone College of Nursing is on the pipeline. We also have Precious Stone Ministry soon to be launched. Our foundation has distributed free eye glasses , conducted free surgeries , free medical consultations and treatment and Lab test. I urge people to key into the hospital and foundation ” he concluded.

Lending his voice immediately after the event , consultant Pathologist , Dr. John Ohiri commended the staff and management of the hospital for their strides in boasting the health sectors .

Dr .Ohiri applauded the Imo State Governor , Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodinma for prioritizing the health sector in Imo State , via the recently launched Imo health insurance scheme, he seized the platform to commend the celebrated Nursing Assistants, he enjoined them not to go beyond their limitations instead seek the presence of a medical Doctor in case of critical health conditions.

Continuing the Traditional Ruler of Ezi Irete Autonomous Community, HRH, Eze Joseph Uzoma Ibeh ” Ezi 1 of Ezi Irete” thanked Dr. Oparaocha for his efforts , he said ” This is the 4th series of the yearly event of the hospital “Omenafor” one of my daughters passed through here”.

HRH Ibeh described Precious Stone Specialist Hospital as one of the best among equals .

One of the Graduands who spoke with our reporter Akalazu Sarah Chinonso expressed much joy , as she pledged loyalty to serve humanity by treating the sick which she said has been her dream.

The 2025 Graduands include , Onwuasoanya confidence , Ozoemena Chisom Blessing , Akalazu Sarah Chinonso , Anyalebechi Peace Odinnakachukwu, Kelechi Miracle Chidinma ,George Thelma Ozioma Ukwusike Nmesoma Esther , Ajaero Confidence and Uyanwa Victor Onyinyechi

The day also showcased lots of activities viz: Pinning session , prayer section , presentation of certificates , Lightening of candles , farewell speech /song , cutting of cake , Discussion on the Prevention of heart attack and other side attractions .
