A major breakthrough in crime fighting was recorded today by men of the Nigeria Police Command, in Imo State.

In a bid to crack down on activities of criminals suspected to be involved in alleged Organ Harvesting atrocities, a mortuary somewhere in Umuhu, a community on Owerri Aba road part of Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State has been sealed over alleged involvement in the act.

Trumpeta learnt that the illicit activities of the morgue and its operators came to the fore when the state police commissioner, Aboki Danjuma led his operatives to the location to unravel goings-on at the place.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, led a high-level delegation on an investigative tour of suspected criminal hideouts connected to the wanted suspect, Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, who is currently evading arrest.

The inspection team comprised key government officials and local security stakeholders, including the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu, Chief Pathologist of the Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu, as well as the leadership of the Ngor Okpala Vigilante Group headed by Mr. Henry Ikpe. Also present was the Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. Mrs. Chika Ibekwe, who joined the collaborative effort to uncover criminal operations threatening community safety.

During the operation, the team visited a hotel and a privately owned mortuary linked to the suspect, both of which intelligence reports indicated were being exploited by kidnappers and other violent criminals. The discoveries at the mortuary were deeply disturbing, with officials finding decomposing and mutilated corpses stored in hazardous and unhygienic conditions. These discoveries intensified fears of possible illegal organ-harvesting activities and reinforced concerns about the extent of criminal operations in the area.

Trumpeta further gathered that acting on the gravity of the situation, the Imo State Government immediately ordered the sealing of both the hotel and mortuary. A subsequent search of the suspect’s residence yielded vital exhibits now in police custody. Forensic specialists meticulously documented and secured all evidence to aid ongoing investigations. CP Danjuma emphasized that no stone would be left unturned, assuring the public that all collaborators and beneficiaries of the criminal network would be identified, arrested, and prosecuted.

The Police Command has formally declared Stanley Morocco Oparaugo WANTED, urging residents to provide any useful information that could aid his arrest. Members of the public are encouraged to approach the nearest police station or call 0803 477 3600 with credible information.
