OWERRI ZONE UNITED MOBILISES FOR CHARTER OF EQUITY
Owerri Zone United, a coalition of over 25 groups, led by Prince Charles Amadi, paid courtesy visits to the Imo Council of Elders at the palace of HRM Eze Cletus Ilomuanya on August 9, and Orlu traditional rulers at the Palace of Eze Imo on August 10.
The delegation included Deputy Governor Her Excellency Chinyere Ekomaru, Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN, Amb. Kema Chikwe, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Prince Alex Mbata, Dr. Henry Njoku (Harritex), Prince Marcon Nlemigbo and other prominent leaders.
The visits were to appreciate the elders and monarchs for their support of the Charter of Equity and its principle of allowing Owerri Zone to take the lead. The events were moderated by Owerri Zone United Spokesperson, Hon. Kingsley Ononuju, Esq. (Ekwedashike).
The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to equity, peace and a united Imo State, with the next engagement scheduled for Okigwe Zone on August 14.
