Dr Ifeanyi Nwachukwu, has undergone an inspection tour of some electrification projects in some communities in Agwa, Oguta local government area of the state.
The commissioner who was ably represented by the Okeagu noted that the inspection tour was to ascertain the level of work that has been executed in the project.
On of the site engineers and also a staff of the ministry, Engr. Anselem O Ekezie who conducted the team round the projects, noted that a total of four transformers has been mounted and several electric high tension poles installed and connected.
Speaking after the inspection, Dr Okeagu commended the efforts of the contractors in ensuring quality and efficient project. He noted that when completed, the project will bring about economic development in the area.
Also speaking, the director of water services in the ministry, Mr Chinedu Ajoku wondered why a community should be without light in the 21st century.
He pointed out that the project will change the face of the area and urged people of the area to guard the installations jealously.
Same of the benefiting communities include Obudi, Umuorie Umuekpu, Umuofeke, Uwaorie, Umuomi and Mgbala.
