Nigeria Content Development Monitoring Board NCDMB Trains 500 Imo Youths on ICT,Software. The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring board (NCDMB) has trained 500 Imo youths on ICT training, Software development, Virtual Assistant, repairs and maintainence of computers and Software Engineering. This was revealed by the Chairman CEO of JADAKAMS LIMITED, Obinna Nwadiugwu, to newsmen in Owerri during the graduation ceremony of students who graduated on various skills. According to him, it’s not all about books skills are needed to make the youths self employed. I believe by his grace from the look of things NCDMB officers were here, you saw what happened tomorrow it might be 1000, tomorrow it might be 2000, even the kids here will even spread it to their mates that this is real. It’s even free, they were not charged a kobo for it, rather they were paid stipends for it. Those who got computers got something for themselves, everybody got something. It was positive all through. So for those who did not get this opportunity, an opportunity is coming again I strongly believe that. The quest to get people put their hands to job, self employment, beyond books like the social manager people they are already employed, they can manage anything you want them to do. Software developers are already with the gadgets given to them, you can develop your game and site. One of the participants who stated that she learnt alot, appreciated the NCDMB, CT-VET and CSAEE for creating such opportunities for the youths to learn and equip themselves. People that funded the program and people that supported the program which is the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring board (NCDMB), I also want to appreciate CT- VET and CSAAE for organising this particular event and their coordination thus far. It has been an exciting one, the classroom activities, how they stress us to learn, the assignments, tests. It was actually wonderful. It reminds me rather that when you are disciplined and you are consistent in what you do. You will get a good result and today we are graduating, this is the end of this particular program and we believe that all what we have learnt we will use it for a good cause. Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring board (NCDMB) is charged with the responsibility of developing, implementing & monitoring programmes that ensure a steady growth of Local Content produced in Nigeria.
