BLACK MONDAY IN OWERRI-WEST.
There is palpable fear at Irete, Owerri-west LGA, as Fulani kidnappers attacked some people who had gone to inspect a facility for possible purchase.
According to a relation of one of the victims, on condition of anonymity, the Vigilante personnel, Chigemezu Ozuzu who had accompanied a prospective facility buyer were attacked by fulanis along Irete-Akata-Okuku road at about eleven in the morning today(14/9/26).
Our narrator said as soon as Chigemezu, the yet to be identified buyer and few others had alighted the motorcycles conveying them, the fulanis opened fire on them killing Chigemezu(Vigilante personnel), the buyer said to be an Orlu man and whisked others away into the bush.
At the time of this report other details of the incident are scanty.
