OZB Declares For 2nd Tenure, Spoils Nwangele APC With Cars, Motorcycles

Abajah Central School in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State was filled to its capacity on Wednesday 26th November, 2014 where the serving member representing the state constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo declared interest to seek for re-election in 2015 under the All Progressives Congress, APC, platform.
Speaking at the occasion, the Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI) Prof. Anthony Gozie Anwuka who represented Governor Rochas Okorocha at the event disclosed that members of opposition political parties have been visiting him on daily basis in order to pave way for their soft landing into the APC maintaining that the party has rolled out strategies that would earn it victory come 2015 both in Imo State and at the national level. The governor’s representative urged people to vote massively for APC as the party remains the cardinal point for total transformation.
Chief Uche Nwosu also noted that the Peoples’ Democratic Party is dead in Nwangele.
Chief Nwosu who is the serving Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development in Imo State described Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo as a good representative recalling the numerous empowerment programmes embarked upon by the lawmaker.
Briefing newsmen, Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo who seized the opportunity to celebrate his birthday with Nwangele people amidst celebration of the trophy won by Nneoma women in the area during the August meeting 2014 expressed happiness over the turnout for the occasion highlighting his achievement to include the donation of over 87 motorcycles to the constituents as part of empowerment scheme, provision of Solar light system among other viable projects. OZB disclosed that he has achieved 40% out of his packages for Nwangele people assuring them of more empowerment programmes in December this year.
The lawmaker also revealed his plan to donate 4 buses to the party any moment from now.
Meanwhile, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo donated 20 Volkswagen Passat model cars and 44 motorcycles to the 11 Wards in Nwangele LGA.
Some of the APC leaders present at the event were APC State Chairman, Dr. Hilary Ekeh, aspirant for Nkwerre, Nwangele, Isu and Njaba Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Barr. Harrison Nwadike, Barr. Ngozi Njoku, Juliet Akano among others.
