The Senator representing Orlu zone in the Senate, Chief Hope Uzodinma has once again shunned the invitation to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to give answer to the allegations leveled against him bordering on anti party activities and others.

Trumpeta learnt that the Chief Tom Ikimi led Disciplinary Committee waited in vain last weekend without the Senator showing appearance, but rather sent a letter that he travelled out of the country and should be given time to prepare himself for another invitation.

However, many were shocked when the Senator appeared at Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu’s Birthday in Abuja, raising doubt over if really the Senator legislator was not in the country or simply avoiding the committee.

Trumpeta learnt that Imo PDP faction led by Chief Charles Ezekwem had written a petition to the National hierarchy of the party accusing Uzodinma of sponsoring a parallel Executive of the party in the State, inspite of the Ezekwem Executive authenticated by the National Executive and National Working Committee NWC of the party.

The Ezekwem Executive is said to believe that Uzodinma is avoiding the Tom Ikimi Committee for fear of hammer falling on the Senator, as it believes that if Uzodinma has no skeleton in his cupboard, he has no need to be dodging the committee despite two invitations extended to him now.

Another source told Trumpeta that Uzodinma is buying time for an Orlu High Court to give injunction on a suit instituted by the Nnamdi Anyaehie faction against the Ezekwem Executive on who among the two Executives is the authentic and recognized Group to attend PDP’s National Convention billed for December 9, 2017 at Abuja.

Meanwhile, a source from the Uzodinma camp told Trumpeta that the Senator has nothing to hide, and read to answer any invitation on PDP, pointing out that Hope Uzodinma is a strong pillar of PDP any day.
