Aboh Mbaise / Ngor Okpala Fed Seat: Bede Eke Declares for Second term

Member representing Aboh Mbaise / Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, at the House of Representatives, Hon (Evang) Bede Uchenna Eke, on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, declared his intention to run for a second tenure under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Addressing LG officers of the party, the critical leaders of the party as well as the five principal Ward officers, at his Umuaga, Nguru residence, Bede Eke disclosed ” am here today to respond to your call for me to represent the federal constituency at the House of Representatives come 2019.

Recall that during the last Caucus meeting of the Party held some months, a motion was raised adopting me as a Consensus candidate of the party by the leadership of the party. After considering your request as well as my wide consultations, I wish to notify you all of my resolve to run for a second tenure to represent our people “.

The news of his declaration resulted to jubilations from all quarters as the women of the party requested for his presence and conducted a prayer session on his behalf. The Youth wing of the party were not left out as they chanted songs of victory for their son, Bede Eke.

The Leader of the party in Ngor Okpala, Chief Emma Nworgu commended the federal lawmaker for declaring his interest while calling party leaders to brace up for the task ahead.

In a similar development, the party leaders unanimously, adopted Chief Emma Nworgu as Chairman Campaign Council for the party ahead the 2019 general election in the LGA.

Hon Bede Eke, reciprocated his declaration at Aboh Mbaise LGA on the 14th of April, 2018, where he met with critical leaders of the party and the five principal Ward officers from the twelve (12) political Wards the area.

Addressing the party faithful, Hon Bede Eke outlined his legislative activities and achievements in the area ensuring that federal projects are captured in all the electoral Wards. He further notified his constituents that the projects he attracted so far are the ones captured in the 2016 and 2017 nation’s budgets, while assuring them that when the 2018 budget is finally approved, his constituency projects will be felt across the Communities in the federal constituency, while urging party faithful to support his reelection to the House of representatives as it would he balance the succession plan and rotation arrangements between the two LGAs.

Responding, a former LG Chairman of Aboh Mbaise, Nze Charles Onwunali, commended Bede Eke for his decision to seek reelection while assuring him that his conduct and reach out to party leaders as well as party exco at the LG level was commendable adding that he should remain consistent on the approach he has adopted.

Contributing his voice, the lawmaker representing Aboh Mbaise at the State House of Assembly and House of Reps aspirant, Hon Mike Iheanetu, commended Bede Eke for his decision seeking reelection and encouraged him to continue with his consultation which he maintained is the beauty of political. Iheanetu salute Hon Bede Eke for his political maturity and humility which he said are his best selling points.

The declaration of Hon Bede Eke across the two LGAs of the federal constituency was well attended by notable party leaders as well as prominent individuals from the area.
