Dankwambo Presidential Project Inaugurates Excos in Imo .Visits Onyewuchi, Ihemedu

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the Dankwambo Presidential Project, DPP, Imo State chapter last Friday inaugurated the new executive council members of the chapter saddled with the responsibility of ensuring Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s victory at the 2019 Presidential polls, under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The event which took place at De Legend Hotel, Owerri, Imo State featured the chanting of the slogan: Dankwambo, Dankwambo, New face, New Nigeria, following the arrival of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Hopeful, His Excellency Alhaji Dankwambo ably represented by Dr Yila Ankwedel Nitte, Imo State coordinator Hon Mrs Chinedu Akaluso crowned with the presence of renowned politician and south east zonal coordinator of Dankwambo Presidential Project, Rt Hon Cosmos Ndukwu, Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the Presidential aspirant, Dr Yila Ankwedel commended the Imo State chapter of DPP for their effort, he described Alhaji Hassan Dankwambo as a detribalized man, that hates segregation between muslim and Christians, he pointed out that despite the fact that Alhaji Dankwambo receives the lowest allocation as an obedient servant of Gombe people, he has not owed his workers for one day.

Dr Ankwedel said, “ Alhaji Dankwambo utilizes his resources judiciously, he will drive and change the economy of this country. I believe this message will go to the grassroot”.

Also speaking, the National Coordinator of the project, Deacon Zach Okoronkwo described the newly inaugurated team as a group that will ensure that Imo State is rescued from the hands of its slave masters. He urged Nigerians not to be scared or intimidated.

In his speech, the south east zonal cordinator, Hon Cosmos Ndukwu commended the members of Owerri chapter, Hon Zack and Hon Akaluso for the crucial role they played in the quest for an Owerri chapter, he described Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo as a delight, adding that the society have been plagued with a crop of association of past criminals that deceived Nigerians that they are coming with change in his words.

“Nigerians are tired of this, Alhaji Dankwambo is not somebody that has his government being run by cabals. Nigerians are people with intellects, we need a different touch, Alhaji Dankwambo has the capacity and energy to lead us in the 21st century, go to Gombe State, it was a desert but it is now a hinterland” Hon Ndukwu said.

Delivering her welcome address before paying courtesy visits to the Honourable member representing Owerri Federal constituency at the green chambers National House of Assembly, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi and Barr Sir C.J Ihemedu, the state coordinator of DPP, Hon Mrs Chinedu Akaluso said, “we are also aware of the personality, qualification, character, goals and aspirations of our principal, His Excellency Alh.Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo. We are convinced that he is democratic, knowledgeable, youthful, liberal and firm in his resolve to reposition our country from the path of lawlessness, impunity, savagery, tribalism and under development, to the path of justice, security, human and economic development. The PDP has a formidable force in Imo State, despite the fact that our party has not been in power in the state for quite some time”.

Contributing, the state media coordinator, Comr Chiemevolam Kenneth maintained that Dankwambo is a man with integrity and a listening ear, he however urged every delegate in PDP to look beyond party politics and support, Alh. Dankwambo, describing him as a de-tribalised Nigerian.

In line with the inauguration, DPP paid a courtesy visit to Owerri Federal Constituency Lawmaker, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi, who commended them for their effort saying, “As a lawmaker, I will say, the economy of the country is dead infrastructurally, Alhaji Dankwambo has the pedigree, we need to rally round for somebody with good credentials and antecedence to deliver PDP come 2019”.

DPP also visited renowned legal practitioner, Barr. C.J Ihemedu. In his speech Bar Ihemedu commended the project, saying that Alhaji Dankwambo is a straight forward man and well cultured.

Present at the inauguration include the national director research, policy and strategy Barrister Ayebide Fatiede, DPP south east co-ordinator on election matters, Dr Chigozie Ekeozor and host of other dignitaries.
