The Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Rt Hon Acho Ihim has been confirmed as the Deputy Governorship candidate to the Action Alliance AA Governorship candidate in Imo State, Chief Uche Nwosu.

The three members of Imo House of Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, have also pitched tent with Action Alliance AA where they have picked the party’s ticket to run for the 2019 elections.

According to information available to Trumpeta, apart from about three APC members that picked ticket to run for reelection to the House of Assembly, other Imo Lawmakers have joined AA.

Confirming the information to Trumpeta, Hon Mike Iheanetu for Aboh Mbaise Constituency said the decision for all the Lawmakers to move to AA was a Parliamentary decision done in solidarity to their Leader and Speaker to the House, Rt Hon Acho Ihim who picked the Running mate position to Uche Nwosu.

Iheanetu who said yes, he is a member of AA, and also No, maintained that AA has his name in the Ballot Paper, which makes him a member of the party, but that he has not officially written to his former  partyPDP and to the House of Assembly on the latest development, which still makes him non-officially a member of AA.

The Lawmaker lamented that PDP treated him and his colleagues shabbily after they diligently and committedly served the party for three and Half years in the parliament as opposition legislators, losing every carrot dangled at them by the ruling party.

“PDP denied, rejected and relegated us to the back ground. Therefore whatever the House of Assembly says now, we shall obey as members of the Parliament.

On what position he is running for since he attempted to go the federal House under PDP primary but lost, the experienced Lawmaker said that whatever position AA gives him he would take, since PDP could not even offer him any.

Other PDP Legislators in the House are Hon Bruno Ukoha for Ezinihitte Mbaise and Ichie Ken Agbim. However, efforts to reach these Lawmakers was not possible, even as Iheanetu told Trumpeta that all of them are binded by the parliamentary decision to move to AA as one Body.
