Weeks after elections have been concluded and few months to the end of Rescue Mission administration in Imo State, Governor Rochas Okorocha’s followers and government appointees have stopped worshipping at the Government House chapel.

Despite the good preachings by Pastor Bomi Babs on Sunday services, Rescue Mission members have now abandoned coming to the place to worship.

Unlike in the past it witnessed beehive of activities the commissioners, Executive chairmen and councilors from all indication have shunned going back to the Government Chapel instead, they have resolved to worship with Catholic and Pentecostal churches in the town and villages.

The Government House chapel membership has reduced drastically unlike before.

Those who use to sing praises for Okorocha have now disappeared.

This development has affected the church income. The Sunday offertory consequently has come down.

Trumpeta learnt that most of the Rescue Mission politicians who carpet crossed to PDP and APC no longer want to be identified with governor Okorocha even in church service.

Governor Okorocha and his family members too are surprised to see even appointees they trusted can change overnight to join the opposition to the extent that they cannot come to the victory chapel to join him as they use to do before the election.

It was further gathered that apart from not worshipping at the victory chapel, some double standard politicians eyeing appointment in the incoming administration have stop coming to Okorocha’s meetings.
