A first class hotel known for its luxury services, “Place Tochil”, has opened in Owerri, Imo State, in the heart of Eastern part of Nigeria.
It was opened last Friday, January 8, 2021, amidst pomp and pageantry.

While dignitaries from all walks of life thronged to celebrate with the brand owner, they admired both the interior and exterior part of the hotel, by describing it as the best in town.
In his address, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Christopher Ohuruzo (Isimmiri 1 of Amucha) disclosed that in all his tour of States, he has never seen a hotel as classy and sophisticated as “Place Tochil”.
Explaining why he honoured the opening ceremony, Isimmiri said, because Tochil has displayed resilience in developing his State, which in turn would generate lot of employment.
Also using himself as an example of employer of labour, Chief Christopher tagged Tochil a progressive, that deserves more support and synergy, hence, urged other Imo sons and daughters to emulate same act of “Charity begins at home”.
In his remark, Chief Tony Nwaneri (Ozuomee 1 of Amiri) congratulated his younger brother for recording such milestone.
“I am happy that he put up this type of thing in Owerri, this shows that he understands what it means to develop at home”.
Chief Tony added that with the concept of the hotel, it would assist the Government in addressing the unemployment rate in Imo State.
Addressing newsmen, the Group Chairman, Tochil Global Enterprises, and Tochil Group Nigeria Limited, Amb. Tochil Nwaneri, thanked God for the enablement in achieving the feat.
While revealing that already, he has employed over one hundred staff, Amb. Tochil disclosed of his willingness to replicate what he did in Owerri, in other parts of the State.
“I must thank God for making this come true. What started like a dream has come to reality, I had always wanted to do something unique and in my State, and that, by the Grace of God, has come to stay”.
Amb. Tochil further hyped the hotel as a dream place where one can get all the necessary services needed.
