The seventh Annual Award celebration of Kpakpando Foundation for Physically Challenged Persons (Disabled) held in Owerri turned out to be a scrambling galore as able bodied persons engaged the disabled in the scramble for Gift items.

The crisis erupted shortly after Senator Izunaso and his entourage left the venue of the events.  Senator Izunaso said that God has blessed him to help the needy and that through his Kpakpando Foundation, he has touched many lives by empowering them through formal and informal education.  He said that hundreds of the physically challenged people are receiving care and attention under scholarship programme and welfare schemes while many receive mobility and economic empowerment aids regularly.  He informed all that two of the physically challenged persons under scholarship are graduating this year and those that passed JAMB would be given admission to study in tertiary institutions with scholarship as Gov Okorocha has been doing.  He said that that tradition of sending one person every year toJerusalemfor pilgrimage has been increased to two.

In his remarks, Gov Okorocha blessed Izunaso and said that God will continue to see him through while Senator Nnamani eulogized Izunaso for been a friend and supporter of the less privileged.

People were entertained by the performing Disabled musicians of Imo state.

Some dignitaries present at the event include, Gov Rochas Okorocha, Gov Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto state, Sen Ken Nnamani, Rev Monsignor Felix Ojimba, Patience Ozokwor and a host of others.
