the Apex Socio-Cultural Group of Orlu Nation, Imo State, Orluzurumee, has thrown its weight behind the Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the November 11, 2023 Imo Governorship election, Senator Athan Achonu.
In a release signed by Chief Dr Chris Esiobu, the President-General of Orluzurume and made available to Journalists, he said that among all the candidates for the Saturday Governorship election, only Senator Athan Achonu deserves Orlu’s vote.
“A vote for him is not a wasted vote; Okigwe and Orlu are brothers.
Orluzurumee stands for truth. Orlu was carved out of Okigwe. We must vote for our own brother” the Release read.
The Organization used the opportunity to condole with Mezie Owere for the humiliation and assault meted on Comrade Joe Ajaero, the National President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, who is a native of Imo State, but was beaten up in Imo State while on a Working Duty.
