Accord Party’s candidate for the forthcoming November 11th Governorship election in Imo State, Ikenga Johnjude Okere, was seen in secret meeting with Chief Ikechukwu Nwadike, popularly known as “Tinubu”. Tinubu , in his address to voters in Imo State, particularly those from his own Local Government, Ihitte Uboma, urged them to throw their support behind Ikenga Johnjude Okere of the Accord Party, regardless of their party affiliations.

Speaking from his villa in Ihitte Uboma, Tinubu conveyed his apprehension regarding the quality of candidates chosen as flag bearers by other political parties. He emphasized that Ikenga John Jude has a remarkable track record of excellence, with the right temperament in prudence and condervativeness which is the qualities of a leader that Imo really needs at this moment public office.

He stressed that if Imo State is to be rejuvenated for economic growth and development, the people of Imo must discard the old practices of thuggery, money-driven politics, and apathy towards political participation. Chief Ikechukwu implored the citizens to turn out in large numbers and vote for Ikenga Johnjude Okere, assuring them that he would use his influence to contribute to the realization of the Imo State they envision.

In response, Ikenga Johnjude Okere urged the residents of Ihitte Uboma to place their complete trust in him and cast their votes in his favor. He asserted that his mission is to resurrect the lost glory of Imo state, rectifying the damage inflicted by poor leadership and unprepared leaders. This commitment is driven by his vision to steer Imo towards a brighter and more prosperous future.

Meanwhile in a passionate address to Labour faithfuls during their solidarity visit to her country home, Lady Doris Onyekwere raised a critical concern regarding the upcoming Governorship election in Imo State. She shed light on the issue of double candidacy that has plagued the Labour Party in the state, expressing deep doubts about the effectiveness of their votes if this problem persists.

The double candidacy issue is not one to be taken lightly, as Lady Doris emphasized. It threatens to dilute the power of the voters’ collective voice, making it essential for the electorate to consider alternative options. Lady Doris believes that casting votes for the Labour Party might be in vain as long as this issue remains unresolved.

In light of these concerns, Lady Doris Onyekwere strongly urged party faithfuls and all lovers of good governance to consider the Accord Party as a viable alternative. She believes that Ikenga John Jude Okere, the Accord Party’s candidate, stands head and shoulders above all other contenders in the Governorship race. He has proven himself from every metric to be the most qualified candidate capable of leading Imo State towards the economic growth and prosperity it rightfully deserves.

In no uncertain terms, Lady Doris called upon the people of Imo to rally behind Ikenga John Jude Okere and cast their votes for him on Saturday, November 11th. It is a critical moment for the state, and the future hinges on their choices. Let’s not waste our votes on a party with two candidates; instead, let’s embrace a candidate who can bring the change and good governance that Imo State deserves. Together, we can make a difference in our beloved state’s future

In a passionate call to action, Reverend Father Anthony Obi of St. John the Cross Parish, Egbelu, has implored Catholic faithful in Imo State to make their voices heard and their votes count in the upcoming election on Saturday, November 11th, 2023. He left no room for ambiguity as he urged his parishioners to cast their votes in favor of Ikenga Johnjude Okere, the Accord Party candidate, whom he believes represents the leadership that Ndi Imo earnestly desires.

Fr. Anthony Obi’s powerful message was delivered to his congregation on Sunday, November 5th, within the sacred confines of his parish. In his address, he underscored a profound truth that has been resonating throughout the political landscape: prayers, fasting, casting out demons, and binding evil spirits may be important aspects of spiritual life, but when it comes to shaping the future of a state, they fall short of the mark.

He declared with conviction that divine intervention should not be expected to take the place of civic duty. “God will not descend from heaven to cast a vote for you,” he emphatically stated. Therefore, he passionately implored his parishioners and, by extension, all Catholic faithful across Imo State, to translate their spiritual faith into tangible action by voting for the candidate they believe embodies the change and leadership the state desperately needs.

Fr. Anthony Obi’s endorsement of Ikenga Johnjude Okere and the Accord Party isn’t merely a suggestion; it’s a fervent call to embrace their civic responsibility for the betterment of Ndi Imo and generations yet unborn. His message echoes the idea that prayer and faith, while integral to life, must be complemented by active engagement in the political process. To secure a brighter future for Imo State, he believes that it’s paramount for the faithful to participate in the election and choose the candidate who aligns with their aspirations and values.

The choice is clear, according to Fr. Anthony Obi: in the face of pressing challenges and aspirations for a more prosperous and harmonious Imo State, the power to effect change lies not only in the pews of churches but also in the ballot boxes. As November 11th, 2023 approaches, his message serves as a reminder that faith and action must go hand in hand for a brighter future in Imo. It’s a call to unite in a collective effort to shape the destiny of Ndi Imo by casting votes for the candidate who resonates with their vision for a brighter and more prosperous state

Despite the assurances, promises and degrees of inducement, from other political party candidates, the impact of the interactive session of the ACCORD candidate with Ndi Imo indicates that the Imo Guber candidate for the ACCORD, Ikenga Johnjude Okere remains the cynosure of all eyes on the grounds of his outstanding show of Proof of Competence as most of the opposition, supporters and Ndi Imo at large enjoyed his presentation at the first of its kind interactive session with Ndi Imo. This is why these party faithfuls were not hesitate to encourage their members and loyalists to support and vote for the ACCORD candidate.

The reasons for their strong position which benefits only Ndi Imo through the ACCORD candidate is obviously not unconnected with lack of proof of competence by their different candidates but only showmanship and noise making.

These members of these other political parties told journalists that what attracted some of them, are the manners in which Ikenga Johnjude OKere presented his  five star vision policy which according to them, were well designed, objective, well articulated and has the embodiment of sincerity.

The said five star policy plan for Imo which is geared under the following;

1. Human capital development;

2. Industrialisation & Investment;

3. Rural to Urban Development;

4. Set Plan (Sports/Entertainment/Tourism);

5. Security

These party leaders  who are many in number includes Hon. Mrs Ugorji Celestina of APC who, explains that she is not supporting her party APC because their candidate has failed Ndi Imo because of no convincing or practical road map that would address the glaring security challenges, the high crime rate and ritual killings bedevilling Imo.

According to Ikenga Johnjude OKere, the true wealth of Imo state lie not only in its natural resources, but in the potentials of its people.
