Contrary to allegations that some of the political parties in Imo State may have shunned the merger to form All Progressives Congress, the ANPP, ACN, CPC and DPP has thrown their weight behind the merger.
Rising from a meeting in Owerri, the four political parties said that they have agreed to work assiduously towards the success of the APC in Imo state.
In the communiqué signed onbehalf of the parties by Dr. Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe (ANPP), Chief C.C. Ubah (ACN), Mr Chikaodi Ogu (CPC) and Chief Romanus I. Egbuladike (DPP), they assured their Members of the protection of their individual and collective interests in the new political party.
They commended their leaders in the formation of the mega party as well as welcomed other visionary political parties, individuals and political groups into the party.
They unequivocally endorsed several meetings held by the National Headquarters of their political parties geared towards forming a synergy for the over all interest of the country, culminating in the merger.
