Christians have been advised to always count on their days as that is the only way they can reflect on the mysteries of life and the existence of God.

President Nigeria Baptist Convention and Chancellor Bowell University Rev. Dr. B.U.Enyioha gave the advise over the weekend while preaching at the burial ceremony of Chief John Nwawunze Igbokwe at the First Baptist Church, Amaimo in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

Rev. Enyioha said that it is unfortunate that most modern day Christians have lost the values and essence of life because of over emphasis on materialism.

According to the Clergyman, God in his infinite Mercy has given life to man in abundance but because of greed and avarice most Christians tend to loose focus of the fact that there is a Judgment day after life.

He described the late John Igbokwe as one who preserved while alive as his benevolence knew no bounds. Rev. Enyioha therefore urged the wife, children and relations of the deceased to rejoice in the life of the late John as his good deeds will always speak for him.

In the funeral oration signed on behalf of the family by the younger brother Chief Barrister Uche Igbokwe, the family described their late brother as an achiever and philanthropist who knew no bounds.

“We are cerebrating a business icon, a political master and an intellectual giant whose life can not be measured only by how long he lived but by what he achieved during his brief but eventful surgeon on earth”.

The late Joseph is survived by a wife Lolo Gloria Igbokwe, four children Emeka, Chinedu, Uche and Ada, his aged mother Lolo Elfreda, many relations, brothers and sister including Barrister Uche Igbokwe one time Executive Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government.
