A Youth Organization by name, Youth Action for Political Emancipation (YAPE) has described the purported youth rally billed for Imo State next Monday as a slight, and insult on Imo Youth.
In a release signed by the Lead Director of the organization, Dr Umez Ken Umez, and made available to this Newspaper, YAPE hinted that Governor Okorocha began his administration by sacking (10,000) Ten thousand Imo Youths gainfully employed in the civil service and since then has not employed even a single person but has suddenly woken up now to use Imo Youths to bargain for position in his new political party, All Progressives Congress, APC.
“Okorocha’s administration does not have a single job-creation programme as it is only interested in erecting buildings along strategic streets and roads” YAPE said. the Youths said Okorocha wants to play a trick on them “by bringing Imo Youths to a political rally where they will be cajoled into endorsing APC and be paid the sum of N20,000, each at the venue of the rally”
YAPE maintained that if Okorocha is sincere to Imo Youths, he should revisit the 10,00 job programme which he scrapped by rendering Imo Youths useless, unproductive and leading them into various vices.
